  1. 1. ”South Africa is a sick nation that needs to be cured” President Jacob Zuma (State of the nation address Pretoria April 27th 2015) South Africa has become a state of apathy, with the moral fiber and consciousness of a nation sliding into decay. Gone are the days when “ umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” or “You are who you are because of those around you” meant anything of substance. It is with these challenges in mind that, artists from Muthaland Entertainment joined hands, minds and mouths and put together the #LetsfixSouthAfrica Campaign as a social cohesion management tool. #LetsFixSouthAfrica believes in communication as a “Social Human investment” tool to cultivate the mindset towards the people being the body of consciousness that is ever living, to a sustainable community, or being the fuel that works the machine. #LetsFixSouthAfrica’s mission to create communities that are aware of each other and aware of their community as their living body.
  2. 2. VISIONTechnology has changed the way the youth consume information and knowledge. As a result the arts and Music in particular, have become a point of influence amongst the youth globally. Recognizing the alternate streams of learning among the youth we use language, art and music to integrate and reflect our social and environmental diversity as human beings. Going out to inform learners that we are all part of the same family, a HUMAN FAMILY. #LetsFixSouthAfrica has already embarked on a school tour around Gauteng with dedicated artists and admin team willing to put their time and energy into a project that is needed to motivate the youth. So far 30,000 students covered. The vision of this campaign is for artists and musicians to play a more active and employable role in society by building organized teams of “change agents” which can be replicated across the country.
