This is one of my most memorable experiences because we were just hauling fish after fish into the
boat when we hit a shoal of mackerel off a ship wreck. After almost filling a whole bin bag with fish,
we called it a day, just as a pod of dolphin appeared. My auntie, who lives in Cornwall, was probably
eating fish for weeks after we brought back that many.
Every year now, I go fishing down in Cornwall either in my uncle's boat, or just off the shoreline.
To my mind, each and every time I go fishing is unique just for the experience and no incident is
ever forgotten. The range of things I have caught, in what I think of as not the most exotic of places,
also quite surprises me; I have caught everything from dogfish to cuttlefish, conger eels to sea gulls –
but that's another story, and of course, every anglers worst nightmare, (apart from a hole in the
boat and sinking), catching the bottom (the sea bed) or the rocks because you lose most of your
tackle. Out of all of these things, the most memorable catch to me would be the 5lb bass I caught

My Hobbies In My Life
I have many hobbies that I fill my time with. I enjoy reading. Ever since I was little my dad has
called me a "voracious reader". I am open to reading any kind of book, but I especially love
realistic fiction, action adventure, and nonfiction. I also love playing sports. I did track for one
year, softball for two years, gymnastics for three years, basketball for five years, and soccer my
whole life as well as camps for tennis and swim. I find that playing sports has taught me many

With regards to my personal life, I have been particularly blessed to have experienced a joyful and
easy–going life. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and later moved to Ventura, a

I am an avid reader and reading has been my favorite hobby for a great deal of my life. This is
probably because my parents value literacy and they have almost always encouraged me to read.
The exceptions being when I am supposed to be doing something else, such as completing

Finding time to complete all the activities I want to in a given day can be a challenge. I try to
center my day around school first and foremost, and then see what additional work I can
accomplish. The most basic, essential, as well as challenging activity I undertake is my
academic work. Every day I wake up around 9 a.m. and begin my coursework after having
breakfast and coffee. Because all of this takes place online, I open my laptop and listen to music
to help keep my mind from wandering while I work. Although there are different breaks such as
tea and lunch breaks, it can consume over half of the day. Away from my school life, family life
generally comes second. I am expected to spend dinner with my parents most evenings with
exceptions on weekends. Much of my time is for the most part spent helping my mom out, as she
has trouble with mobility and sometimes requires assistance. I often drive her around to any
appointments she might have as well as help her with groceries and other errands. Any chores she

though as time grows hobbyist might not participate in the hobby anymore for some reason but
they turn out to be supporter or fans. There are many types of hobby where people are tending to
involved. For instance collecting, the hobby of collecting consists of acquiring specific items
based on a particular interest of the collector. These collections of things are often highly
organized, carefully catalogued, and attractively displayed. Since collecting depends on the
interests of the individual collector, it may deal with almost any subject. The depth and breadth of
the collection may also vary. Some collectors choose to focus on a specific subtopic within their
area of general interest: for example, 19th Century postage stamps, milk bottle labels from Sussex,
or Mongolian harnesses and tack. Another type is game; a game is a structured or semi–structured
recreational activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment (although sometimes for physical or
vocational training). A goal that the players try to reach and a set of rules concerning what the
players can or cannot do create the challenge

Making A Hobby Into A Business
Introduction Converting a hobby into a business is something that many people look forward to
accomplishing. This paper will discuss the type of business which I would like to pursue as an
entrepreneur. In this business I will look to make sure that all activities that will be performed
will earn profits as well as being in compliance with all laws and regulations. By abiding by the
regulations and laws it will prevent any issues that may cause a problem. This paper will discuss
the business and the important things that are needed to be successful. Business Type The
business that has been selected is a sports bar. Having been an avid sports fan and dart shooter for
over 10 years I have seen many places that claim they are a sports bar but in fact they are just a bar
with little to no sports available. As the owner of the sports bar I would work to promote a great
environment, to ensure that customers get the best sports entertainment for their money. Along
with having a great sports environment I also would like to have some very tasty and fulfilling
foods to serve such as wings, fries, sandwiches, salads and other tasty treats that will go well with
watching sports. Also having a good variety of beer's and drinks will help to promote the sports
bar and help it expand to become an all around great environment. Staffing Plan To make sure that I
have the proper staffing I need to come up with a list of jobs that will be needed to ensure that the
sports bar runs

My favorite hobby is to watch movies, and the Oscars is my favorite award show. The formal name
for the show is the Academy Awards. The first award ceremony was in 1929, and this year marked
the 88th presentation. During the show different people get nominated for certain categories. These
categories include, but are not limited to: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role,
and Best Actress in a Leading Role. One of my favorite aspects of the show is that it recognizes a
lot of different parts of the movie; actors get a lot of credit in the public, but the Oscars recognizes
not only the actors but the directors, producers, technicians, and writers. It confirms the real talent
of the people in Hollywood. This year was when I realized the Oscars may not be as diverse as I
originally thought it was.
Chris Rock was the host for the 2016 Oscar's Award show, and he cracked jokes of Hollywood
being racist. At first it was funny, until he kept going and then I started to realize that there was
truth behind his jokes. The joke that struck me the most was when Rock stated "..if you want black
nominees every year, you need to just have black categories." (Rock, 2016) He goes on to mention
how the women have different categories for acting, and he does not understand why. Actors are
being judged on their acting, which shouldn't change because they are a certain gender or race. The
civil rights movement has been over for almost fifty years, yet Hollywood does not seem
