Personal Profile.
A skilled supervisor with many years of ‘hands on’ experience in the
construction and civil engineering industries. I have worked on a wide
variety of projects such as road construction, rail works, land reclamation
projects, and flood defence schemes.
I enjoy the challenge of a supervisory role, where I have developed excellent
communication skills with people at all levels. I pride myself on giving 100
percent focus to my job at all times.

May 2009 –present Skanska UK Civils
Junction 19 M1 improvement scheme
Senior General Foreman: Roadwork Team. My duties involve the
supervision of three general foreman, 1 section foreman, and two trainee
foreman. Within my team we look after all drainage,gantry,and roadwork
operations ‘I also liaise with the agents, section engineers and attend
program and sub-contractors safety meetings.my role also involve
supervising the sub-contractors on site, from slip form paving to the barrier
installation to the trenchless drilling. I look after all the issues in the
compound, and make sure all our health and safety procedures are in place
and followed.
M25 LUS Section5 j23-26
General Foreman: Roadwork Team.My duties include the supervision of
PQ Concrete operations using direct employed gangs of 35 people including
fixers.hand lay,and prep gangs.I also supervised sub contractors on the direct
drilling operations including all prep work for this activitie.I carrie out
regular safety tours of the site and attend programe and progress meetings.
2. I manage my plant and labour on a daily basis as cost is just important as
delivering a safely done and quality product.
M25 DBFO Widening, j16 to j23.
General Foreman: Roadwork Team. My duties include the supervision of
PQ Concrete operations. Initially I was responsible for the direct employed
‘Hand Lay’ concrete gangs. My role has now expanded to include
supervision of the slipforming sub contractor, constructing CSB Wall,
Slotdrain, Surface Water Channel, and Smooth Face Retaining Wall. The
M25 widening is a fast paced project aiming to deliver 36 Kms. of four lane
motorway, in 36 months. Presently the project is ahead of time and well
within budget. A recent independent safety audit returned a score of 100
percent compliance with Skanska safety management systems. This is the
first time that a Skanska project has achieved this. I am proud to be part of
the team involved in implementing the safety systems.
August 2006-May 2009 Morgan EST/Amec
M1 Widening, j25 to j27. Nottingham.
Section Foreman: I supervised the earthworks, drainage, comms, sign bases
and vehicle restraint sub contractors, approximately 12 gangs at its peak.
Working closely with the sub contract supervisors, I ensured that the health,
safety, quality and environment systems are in place and maintained, and
that accurate daily records are kept.
Upper Forth Crossing: Kincardine, Scotland.
Section Foreman: Supervision of a directly employed workforce, responsible
for the construction of the approach roads to the new viaduct.
I was also involved with the construction of the drainage and
communication ducts systems, reinforced earth walls; pre cast concrete sea
walls and all hard and soft landscaping works. All works using clear and
defined engineering specifications to produce quality products.
Terminal 5 Heathrow.
Senior Ganger
The scheme was to provide Heathrow airport with a new terminal. My
duties were the supervision of the installation of large diameter deep
drainage and culvert systems, using various proprietary shoring equipment. I
was also involved with the construction of approximately five miles of
electrical and communication ducts, with associated large pre cast concrete
draw pits. I was expected to keep accurate daily records of the works
completed. Being a member of the behavioural based team, I was
responsible for site safety and completed regular safety tours and attended
3. safety meetings with Amec and BAA safety advisors.
Interests and Hobbies.
I enjoy sport as I am a competitive person and I used to play rugby for a
local club. I also enjoy re-building bikes and cars and would like to re-build
a classic bike one day. I also breed and show English bull dogs,
