One of them gets in front of you and demands for your bag. You refuse at first, but hand it over

with the rest, leaves. The circumstance is an example of a bully in its first phase. When someone is
bullied, the victim is subject to harassment and neglection. They repeatedly go through the same

However, this is not true. They are only as powerful as one makes them. They too, have
weaknesses, and they too, have problems. It is important to keep this in mind so that fear can be
kept at a minimum. A victim should never be afraid of a bully.
Another thing to keep in mind is that some people have hate in their hearts for vain reasons.
Some people don't agree with different things. Race, opinions, and ethnicity are some examples.
People like this are people who should be avoided from in the first place. They shouldn't be
ignored, but it is best to remain at a distance. There is nothing that can be done for these type of
people, so the best thing one could do is not to be one of them.
If everyone does their part, bullying will become a thing of the past. Everyone deserves to be

Bullying doesn't always happen at school or in person. A lot of bullying takes place over the
internet. Cyber bullying has been defined as ''willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of
computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices'' (Hinduja & Patchin,
2009). When kids get caught bullying at physically at school they then take it to electronic devices
where it is harder for them to get caught. They produce face accounts on websites to torment and
torture kids that are weaker than them, such as making fake accounts on Facebook or MySpace. In
this study it says "There is a difficulty of detecting the misbehavior, identifying the offending party,
proving of verifying the wrongdoing" (Hinduja, S., &Patchin, J.W. 2010). We need to set rules and
make sure that cyber bullying comes to an end.
People that bully others should face severe consequences. We should have laws and rules that lean
heavily against bullying. I believe that schools should hold more meetings for teachers to educate

She was scheduled for total hip arthroplasty three days following admission. The daughter wanted to
proceed with the surgery, and the son did not. The ethical concern in this case hung on two issues.
First, the patient demonstrated a sufficient degree of dementia to ask "will the patient be able to
adhere to instructions and hip precautions following surgery." Additionally, given her degree of
debility due to her non–ambulatory status before the injury "would it be in her best interests to
proceed with the surgery?" As a team, the nurse, social worker, and I discussed these concerns with
the orthopedic PA who agreed that perhaps the fracture should just be allowed to heal on its own
instead of going forward with a costly, painful surgery and extended rehabilitation that may or may
not produce the desired outcome. The PA, nurse, social worker, and I met with the orthopedic trauma
surgeon and the head of orthopedics and presented the problem. Using a duty–based, deontological
framework for ethical problem solving, and the principle of beneficence (Marquis and Huston,

In our society more people are concerned about winning then just taking a stand. Winning shows
people improvement in skills and strategies. Taking a stand shows that you want to stand up for what
you believe in, what you think is right and not what's wrong. Taking a stand can change the whole

part.... Hate crimes effect more than just the individual attacked.... (they) rend the fabric of society
and fragment communities."
After the Matthew Shepard murder in Laramie, WY, people in the town were awakened to the
effects of how that hate crime effected the entire gay community. One resident was quoted as
saying, "All kinds of people get killed everyday, but I'm not afraid to go down to the liquor store to
buy a six– pack as some of these people were. That had a real impact on me.
