This paper provides a description of the MediaEval 2015 “Affective Impact of Movies Task”, which is running for the fifth year, previously under the name “Violent Scenes Detection”. In this year’s task, participants are expected to create systems that automatically detect video content that depicts violence, or predict the affective impact that video content will have on viewers. Ms. Evelyn Nacario-Castro, head of the MCDCB RPOD PMO and Executive Director of RAFI-EADSC gave a presentation on Mega Cebu. She noted the important role that water plays in competitiveness as it is an important factor which investors, who provide jobs, consider before investing in Cebu. She added that Cebu’s growing population in the urban area creates a larger demand for resources and sources, especially water. The urban area must develop in a smart and sustainable manner in order to maximize the distribution of these resources.

This paper describes the PERCOLATTE participation to MediaEval 2015 task: “Multimodal Person Discovery in Broadcast TV” which requires developing algorithms for unsupervised talking face identification in broadcast news. The proposed approach relies on two identity propagation strategies both based on document chaptering and restricted overlaid names propagation rules. The primary submission shows 10% improvement of Mean Average Precision of the baseline on the INA corpus. http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-1436/ http://www.multimediaeval.org
