practicing professional
paper conservator for
more than 25 years. His
clients include
museums, art dealers, WORKS ON PAPER
private collectors, and
galleries across the
United States. He
began his training in the
San Francisco Bay area
Restoration
in 1980, studying under
the most prominent pri-
vate conservators of the
time, and later moved his studios to New
York, and eventually to South Florida. Mar-
tin has been deeply involved with the rapid

evolution of the concepts and methods em-
ployed in the field of paper conservation.
