2. PFG Mission: To bring strategic marketing help to not-for-profit organizations by leveraging a worldwide network of communication planners, strategists & their friends.
7. Emancipet Goal: Generate awareness for the organization and raise money to help fund the upcoming clinic move. (PFG members write, design and print all event materials)
8. PFG partnered with Cause for Drinks, three different bands, two liquor sponsors, an energy drink & a local beer.
9. Event raised over $3,000 and provided Emancipet with a whole new base of donors.
10. Members of PFG continue to help Emancipet through event design, naming and promotion
11. Green Corn Project Goal: Provide the organization with a clearer sense of identity; understand what sets GCP apart, get the board on the same page, explore alternate names and ultimately design a new logo Interviewed individual garden recipients, school garden recipients, garden applicants and attendees of garden workshops (picture from GCP garden)
12. After putting together a survey for the nine GCP board members, we analyzed the results and then walked them through our findings. This discussion proved key in helping to define the organization. (sample questions/answers from the survey)
13. Naming Exploration (they appreciated the options… but ended up sticking with the Green Corn Project name)
14. Old Logo (this was the highest res version I could find, really)
15. New Logo PFG efforts helped focus and revitalize the organization. The new logo was done in time for their biggest annual fundraiser and is now on the website and all GCP communications.
16. SafePlace Goal: Connect the SafePlace women’s shelter with a new donor base: young Austin professionals.
17. Held at Lustre Pearl, Fierce Fest featured arm wrestling, a tattoo artist, Trevor Ray Thompson photo booth & a hula hoop contest.
18. Fierce Fest was featured in The Austin Statesman/austin360, The Daily Texan, do512, cultureMOB, Austin Tidbits and others.
19. Event raised $2,800, helped connect SafePlace with a younger audience and (unexpectedly) offered programs/services to a few in need.
20. PFG 2010… Possible Fierce Fest 2: I was interested in finding out what your group was going to be doing in 2010 and see if you might consider SafePlace as a partner again. What we would hope to do then is actually partner with you on a larger scale to make the event (we love Fierce Fest!) even bigger with greater reach. We would be able to use some of our expense money saved from not doing our gala to help with PR and maybe some other incidentals. It would still be your party but I could spare our event coordinator to help out more.
