New tools are being developed by Czech Living Lab WirelessInfo, which allow users to easily publish their data and metadata as part of a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI). The paper describes the design of a Technological Infrastructure on the basis of ISO and OGC Standards and also the implementation of a prototype and first experiences. The solution is designed in distributed system form, which provides the connection to metadata about spatial data and services. This solution tests the principle of catalogue services at both national and international level which could be used in the UN SDI context. A catalogue portal is one of the independent components of GeoHosting complex system for raster and vector spatial data sharing. The catalogue portal provides data source searching on the basis of their metadata records through structure queries. The portal also contains edit functionality for new metadata records creating or editing. The metadata catalogue system corresponds to ISO 19115/19119/19139 standards [1], [2], [3], [4] and provides for cascade searching on the other standardized catalogue systems. The difference is, there exist different other initiatives offering publishing of own content like Google technology or OpenStreet Map, that GeoHosting is based fully on INSPIRE European standards and support establishing of network of distributed servers.

Taking advantage of state of the art underwater vehicles and current networking capabilities, the visionary double objective of this work is to “open to people connected to the Internet, an access to ocean depths anytime, anywhere.” Today, these people can just perceive the changing surface of the sea from the shores, but ignore almost everything on what is hidden. If they could explore seabed and become knowledgeable, they would get involved in finding alternative solutions for our vital terrestrial problems – pollution, climate changes, destruction of biodiversity and exhaustion of Earth resources. The second objective is to assist professionals of underwater world in performing their tasks by augmenting the perception of the scene and offering automated actions such as wildlife monitoring and counting. The introduction of Mixed Reality and Internet in aquatic activities constitutes a technological breakthrough when compared with the status of existing related technologies. Through Internet, anyone, anywhere, at any moment will be naturally able to dive in real-time using a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) in the most remarkable sites around the world. The heart of this work is focused on Mixed Reality. The main challenge is to reach real time display of digital video stream to web users, by mixing 3D entities (objects or pre-processed underwater terrain surfaces), with 2D videos of live images collected in real time by a teleoperated ROV.

DIGITAL FABRICATION STUDIO (25438) The course provides a general understanding on how to design and manufacture products and prototypes in a Fab Lab, using digital fabrication technologies and understanding their features and limits. Students will learn how information shapes design, manufacturing and collaboration processes and artifacts in a Fab Lab. They will learn how to digitally fabricate a project or how to digitally modify an existing project; students will also learn how to manage, embed and retrieve information about a project. Projects and prototypes developed and manufactured in this course will not be interactive. The course consists of lectures and a group project to be digitally fabricated, be it a project already designed but not yet realized or be it the modification of an existing project. Every lecture (3 hours) includes time for testing the technologies covered (1 hour) and for developing part of the group project and for receiving feedback about it (1 hour). http://mlab.taik.fi/studies/courses/course?id=1963

OpenLayers is an open-source, highly-customizable, pluggable solution for adding street maps and GIS capabilities to any website using a well-documented JavaScript library and open standards for map data interchange with all the big players listed above (as well as some not so big, but highly specialized ones). Drupal’s contributed core OpenLayers module (and nearly 20 add-on modules) takes this ease of use one step further by integrating the basic Drupal concepts of nodes, CCK, and Views to generate detailed and functional maps with little to no coding. With more memory available, system performance of three Dell devices increased, which can translate to a better user experience Conclusion When your system has plenty of RAM to meet your needs, you can efficiently access the applications and data you need to finish projects and to-do lists without sacrificing time and focus. Our test results show that with more memory available, three Dell PCs delivered better performance and took less time to complete the Procyon Office Productivity benchmark. These advantages translate to users being able to complete workflows more quickly and multitask more easily. Whether you need the mobility of the Latitude 5440, the creative capabilities of the Precision 3470, or the high performance of the OptiPlex Tower Plus 7010, configuring your system with more RAM can help keep processes running smoothly, enabling you to do more without compromising performance.

In this session, we will delve into strategic approaches for optimizing knowledge management within Microsoft 365, amidst the evolving landscape of Copilot. From leveraging automatic metadata classification and permission governance with SharePoint Premium, to unlocking Viva Engage for the cultivation of knowledge and communities, you will gain actionable insights to bolster your organization's knowledge-sharing initiatives. In this session, we will also explore how to facilitate solutions to enable your employees to find answers and expertise within Microsoft 365. You will leave equipped with practical techniques and a deeper understanding of how there is more to effective knowledge management than just enabling Copilot, but building actual solutions to prepare the knowledge that Copilot and your employees can use.

Microsoft's Threat Matrix for Kubernetes helps organizations understand the attack surface a Kubernetes deployment introduces to their environments. This ensures that adequate detections and mitigations are in place. By covering over 40 different attacker techniques, defenders can learn about Kubernetes-specific mitigations and controls to deploy to their environments. In this session, we will explore the MS-TA9013 Host Path Mount technique, which is commonly used by attackers to perform privilege escalation in a Kubernetes cluster. Attendees will learn how attackers and defenders can: * Escape the container's host volume mount to gain persistence on an underlying node * Move laterally from the underlying node into the customer's cloud environment * Analyze Kubernetes audit logs to detect pods deployed with a hostPath mount * Deploy an admission controller that prevents new pods from using a hostPath mount

Sara Mae O’Brien Scott and Tatiana Baquero Cakici, Senior Consultants at Enterprise Knowledge (EK), presented “AI Fast Track to Search-Focused AI Solutions” at the Information Architecture Conference (IAC24) that took place on April 11, 2024 in Seattle, WA. In their presentation, O’Brien-Scott and Cakici focused on what Enterprise AI is, why it is important, and what it takes to empower organizations to get started on a search-based AI journey and stay on track. The presentation explored the complexities of enterprise search challenges and how IA principles can be leveraged to provide AI solutions through the use of a semantic layer. O’Brien-Scott and Cakici showcased a case study where a taxonomy, an ontology, and a knowledge graph were used to structure content at a healthcare workforce solutions organization, providing personalized content recommendations and increasing content findability. In this session, participants gained insights about the following: Most common types of AI categories and use cases; Recommended steps to design and implement taxonomies and ontologies, ensuring they evolve effectively and support the organization’s search objectives; Taxonomy and ontology design considerations and best practices; Real-world AI applications that illustrated the value of taxonomies, ontologies, and knowledge graphs; and Tools, roles, and skills to design and implement AI-powered search solutions.

What are drone anti-jamming systems? The drone anti-jamming systems and anti-spoof technology protect against interference, jamming, and spoofing of the UAVs. To protect their security, countries are beginning to research drone anti-jamming systems, also known as drone strike weapons. The anti-jam and anti-spoof technology protects against interference, jamming and spoofing. A drone strike weapon is a drone attack weapon that can attack and destroy enemy drones.
