Gilles Despas appointed CEO of HolidayCheck AG
The Board of Directors of HolidayCheck AG, Bottighofen,
Switzerland, has appointed Gilles Despas, 43, as its new CEO and
Chairperson of the Management Board. He joins the company
today.
HolidayCheck AG, a TOMORROW FOCUS AG company, is the
largest German-language hotel rating and holiday reservations
portal.
Gilles Despas succeeds Jörg Trouvain, who is resigning from the company for personal reasons,
as previously announced. Until he leaves the company, Jörg Trouvain will continue to assist
HolidayCheck AG as an adviser.
Gilles Despas’ previous experience includes ten years as Managing Director Continental Europe at
ebookers Ltd, one of the leading European online travel agencies and part of Orbitz Worldwide.
Gilles Despas’ area of responsibility at ebookers included its subsidiaries in Austria, Belgium,
France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. He also
managed the product development, product procurement and partner marketing teams for
ebookers in Europe.
Until recently Gilles Despas was Senior Strategic Adviser at STA Travel, the world’s leading travel
agency for students and young adults. One of his main tasks was to reorganise all of STA Travel’s
online business operations.

Chairperson of the Board of Directors of HolidayCheck AG, said:
