Beyoncé has all kinds of fans, however, there are two main
groups that make up most of her fan base; gay men and
women. Women love Beyoncé because she empowers them
and writes for them. She has said herself that as she records a
song, she thinks about how it will relate to women and their
experiences. Gay men also tend to like Beyoncé and African
Americans. This is completely understandable, as she is
African American herself and many of hers songs, such as
Freedom and Formation empower African Americans.
As for age groups, Beyoncé has fans anywhere from around
the ages of 15 to 30. One group that seems to have a small
fan base for Beyoncé is straight white males, this may be due
to how Beyoncé represents many ideals that they may not
agree with, such as feminism, equal pay, and the Black Lives
Matter movement.

Beyoncé has won 24 MTV Video Music Awards, making her the most-awarded
artist in the award show history. Beyoncé is also the most-awarded artist at the
BET Awards and the Soul Train Awards. With a total of 22 awards and 62
nominations from the Grammy Awards for her music (as a solo artist and with
Destiny's Child), she is the most nominated woman and the second most-awarded
woman in Grammy history.
In 2007, Beyoncé received the International Artist of Excellence award by the
American Music Awards. The following year, she received the Legend Award for
Outstanding Contribution to the Arts at the World Music Awards. At the 2011
Billboard Music Awards, Beyoncé received the inaugural Billboard Millennium
Award. Beyoncé received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2014
MTV Video Music Awards and the CFDA Fashion Icon Award in 2016. In 2017,
Beyoncé won a Peabody Award for Entertainment.[citation needed]
Although music is her primary source of accomplishment she has also received
nominations and awards for other works in retail, image, philanthropy, film, and
television, including four Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a nomination
for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture
– Musical or Comedy for her role in the movie Dreamgirls.
