3. Introduction
• Correlation is the relationship between two variables in a
single number called the correlation of coefficient. It's
usually represent the symbol of "r". And it ranges
between -1 to +1.
• There are 3 types of correlation:-
• Positive and negative correlation
• Linear and nonlinear correlation
• Simple , multiple and partial correlation
4. Partial correlation
• It is a simple correlation between two variables (X,Y)
after eliminating the influence of the third variable Z.
• In a simple word say that, it shows the relationship
between two variables at a time taking other variable as
constant.
6. Conclusion
• By this method we can measure the strength of a
relationship between two variables, while controlling for
the effect of one or more other variable.
