- Personality-Are you excited and energized by being around people? Write “extrovert” in the top box under Personality, if this is you.Are you more excited and energized by being by yourself or with only 1 or two other individuals, then write “introvert” in the top box.Why is this important? Talent-is a natural ability or aptitude or skill you have. It comes naturally, you don’t really have to think about it or work at it very hard. You are just naturally good at it.Passion-What are the things you love to do more than anything else? What are the activities that jazz you, that light you up and get you excited?Dreams-A dream is a picture of the future that you want to live in someday. A dream can be big, like Dr. Martin Luther King, whose famous speech described a world where people would not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Or a dream can be small. Dreams are hope carriers and are not bound by time or present circumstances.In the first box under Dreams, write down one dream “Things to be.” In the second box write down a dream that is “Things to do.”Values-are a personal judgment about what is important in life. They reflect your core beliefs about life and others. Justice, adaptability, financial gain, beauty, adventure…there is no right or wrong. It’s what’s important to you! Think of two words and write them down.Life Experiences-these are actual things that have happened to you. They can be positive or negative experiences, but you have actually experienced them.As you move through today’s different career options, keep in mind the above things that are unique to you. Look for the careers that line up with as many of your variables as possible.
