2. • Address outstanding
issues and/or concerns
• Deal with residual
questions
• Taking the teaching
quality agenda forward
in Thailand
• Identify further
engagement with the
HEA and its services
• Identify actions and
responsibilities for who
will lead the way
forward
• Which other
stakeholders need to be
involved?
• What things might need
to happen and when?
2
Revisiting the teaching quality
agenda and future action planning
3. • Outline the Thailand position, how is Thailand going to
get started in developing its teaching quality in higher
education
• The workshop participants to have conversations with
their own universities
• KNIT to plan and conduct a visit to the UK, 9-13 Sept
2013, including a visit to the HEA
• During this visit, the HEA will organise a workshop to
support individuals to apply for recognition

What next? (1)
4. • PSF is an important agenda for Thailand. Thailand
needs to looks to set up and develop an equivalent
Thai organisation like HEA
• Involve OHEC to look after all of higher education
development in Thailand
• Need to look at all systems and concentrate on
students
• Students will be the ones who will benefit the most
from work in teaching quality in higher ducation
• Within OHEC, all universities to have responsibility for
teaching quality
• Need to be clear about advantages and disadvantages

What next…(2)
5. • In the meantime there could be a working group to
take this forward – who will lead this?
• Take stock on what has been done already. Not make
a PSF compulsory. Request a consultation with
universities about the feasibility of Thai PSF
• Do a SWOT analysis with all universities across
Thailand to understand the perspectives, strengths
and benefits, opportunities, etc of a PSF
• Should develop links with Thailand quality framework.
Not focus on paper work. Ask the working group
(possibly made up of workshop participants) to
consider whether we want to reward staff for their
teaching in HE

What next…(3)
6. • Should integrate all the advantages from different
disciplines and subjects to help make this successful
• Share outcomes and learning from the workshop at
the presidents conference (equivalent to VCs/PVCs
• Support individual staff who attended the workshop to
apply for their own recognition via individual
experience route
• Maybe look at developing teaching awards nationally
for excellent teachers
