cookie folder. A cookie holds a small piece of information that is available to the
web site when the visitor returns. In this case, the information consists of who gets

To become a Partner you pay the $17.00 affiliate registration fee, buy the $100

gets sponsored by you. The process repeats indefinitely as newly sponsored
partners recruit more.
 For regular affiliates under you, all of their prospects who join the program are
sponsored by you. You get the $100 payments from their sales the same as if
you had recruited them yourself. The process repeats indefinitely as your
newly sponsored people recruit more that end up being sponsored by you.
 For free affiliates under you, all of their prospects who join the program are
sponsored by you. You get the $100 payments from their sales and the
process repeats indefinitely as described above.
For the $12.00 Home Income Package, Partners get 100% on their sales plus 25%
on sales (after the first one) made by free and regular affiliates under them.

Response can be doubled or more by including a phone number in your ad in local
publications where other advertisers display phone numbers. You can use a
telephone answering service like ConnectMeVoice.com that enables you to have a
3-minute “announce only” message. (Callers can't leave a message.) The message
should tell what benefits the caller will learn about at the URL you are promoting.
Advertise where others advertise home income opportunities. If it works for them,
it can work for you. Place inquiry ads in shopping papers and the tabloid papers
they sell in grocery stores. Home income opportunity magazines (like "Small
Business Opportunities") also can yield good results. Classified advertising in other
niche magazines can work, especially women's magazines for the home work offer.
Use only ones where you see other home income opportunity ads.
Shopping papers are free weekly papers where people advertise household items,
garage sales, etc. Two that are in many cities are Nifty Nickel and Pennysaver.
Many are independent local papers. Advertise in the classification where the
publication normally has income opportunity ads. Some small ones may be
unclassified, and that works just as well.

17. Ads in local weekly newspapers can be effective. Ads in large daily newspapers
generally are not worth the cost – especially in their “Business Opportunity”
section. Do not advertise where the other ads offer local businesses for sale.
Advertise where the other ads offer local jobs or home income opportunities.
Many newspapers also have local advertising online. I am not personally familiar
with using online newspaper advertising, but I think it could be very productive.
The same goes for Craig's List advertising online.
You can't advertise a web site in Craig's List. Some people place ads that sound like
a job opening and ask for response by email. The given email address goes to an
autoresponder that sends back a message promoting a web site that tells about
their income opportunity. I'm just saying what some people do.
You get the highest response from an ad in a weekly publication the first time you
run it. Response drops off as the ad is repeated. If your cost per response gets too
high, give the publication a rest of at least 4 issues before you run your ad again.
Classified advertising provides an excellent way for a beginner to build a business.
It gives superior return on investment, and it doesn't take much money to start. By
re-investing profits, it can be scaled up to surprisingly high volume.

The Benefits of Traffic Exchange
Prospects arriving at a web site are called “traffic”. Finding prospects and sending
them to a web site is called “generating traffic.” It's the key to making money
online as an affiliate. The more traffic you generate, the more money you make.
There are dozens of ways to generate web traffic online and a half dozen good
ways to do it from offline. Here are the benefits of using traffic exchange.
➢ Traffic exchange is free and you can do as much of it as you choose.
➢ It generates web site visits for sure – up to 500 for each hour you spend doing
traffic exchange surfing.
➢ It is an effective way to build an email list while also making money.
➢ The kind of traffic it generates is suitable for the Easy Hundreds offer.
➢ Even a beginner with no web site who only knows how to point and click a
mouse can make money using traffic exchange with our system.
What Traffic Exchange Is
A traffic exchange is a web site that provides a way for members to exchange web
page views and possibly banner displays, text ad displays, and/or email messages.
You get credit for viewing other member's web pages and you can use that credit
to have other members view your web page. Each member shows one or more
web pages that attempt to turn viewers into subscribers or customers or members
of some program.
Exchanging web site views is one of several forms of traffic exchange. Specifically
it is called hit exchange. A “hit” is an incident of a person viewing a web page.
Traffic exchanges normally exchange banner views and text ad views too. Some
also exchange home page views and/or email messages.
Basic membership in a traffic exchange is free. Each traffic exchange has one or
more upgraded membership levels that are obtained by paying a monthly fee. A
paid membership level may give you a shorter required page view time, give more

19. credit for each page view, give credit for page views of more levels of members
under you, give your sites some number of extra page views, give you some num-
ber of text ad or banner displays, and other benefits. If you regularly spend time at
traffic exchange, paid membership upgrades are well worth the relatively small
cost.
Can Traffic Exchange Be Profitable?
A hit at a traffic exchange is worth much less than a visit by someone who arrives
because he was referred by an ad or email or search engine listing. The traffic
exchange visitor is there to earn credit that he can use to get page views of his web
page. Nevertheless, by doing it right, you can build a list and earn money with
traffic exchange.
Many Internet marketers swear that traffic exchange is a waste of time. But usu-
ally the ones who say that are not successful Internet marketers, so everything
they've done to try to make money online could be called a waste of time. I've
seen several very successful Internet marketers say that they started their Internet
marketing business by making money with traffic exchange.
How Traffic Exchanges Work
There are two kinds of hit exchange, automatic and manual. With automatic hit
exchange, web pages appear on your monitor automatically in succession, each
one displaying for a set period of time. You can click on one of interest to stop the
automatic progression until you start it again. There is no assurance that someone
is actually viewing the pages that are displayed. Members can get credit in such an
exchange simply by logging in and letting their computer run while they sleep.
With manual hit exchange, a viewer has to click something to go to the next web
page. A minimum time must pass before he can do so. Depending on various
factors, the minimum time ranges from 6 seconds to 30 seconds. The traffic
exchange also has some way to make sure that a person, not a program, is there
clicking the mouse. Generally it involves selecting the right button or icon to click
out of 3 choices.
I will cover only manual traffic exchanges because they are the more profitable
ones. It is possible to make money with automatic ones, but that involves playing
the game of getting as much credit as you can without viewing the web pages.

20. You join a traffic exchange by signing up at its web site. There is no fee to join and
take part at the basic level. Read their rules and follow the directions. You specify
a page for others to view by filling in a form field with a link to your page. You can
specify more than one landing page and then specify how the view credits are to
be allocated among them.
The traffic exchange probably will also give you banner view credits and text ad
credits. To take advantage of them, you have to supply a banner and a text ad and
specify the page you want the viewer to see if he clicks on the banner or text ad.
You do the hit exchange by going to the viewing site and viewing web pages, click-
ing in the proper place on the screen after the allotted time to bring up the next
web page view. You get credit for each page you view. Then you apply those cred-
its to get other members to view your page(s).
You can buy page views instead of working for them.That's the smart thing to do if
you see that it pays off after you have had enough visitors to calculate your profit
per visitor.
Which Traffic Exchanges To Use
There are dozens of traffic exchanges. Each one has unique rules for earning view
credits and applying them. Many have loads of gimmicks and games and rewards.
There are traffic exchange review and rating sites, but you not only have a problem
determining who you can trust, you don't know how much weight they give vari-
ous factors in comparing traffic exchanges.
It would be great to know which traffic exchanges have the most responsive mem-
bers, but even if some review site were to test responsiveness, they wouldn't be
testing it with the web page you will be showing to your web site viewers. Never-
theless, you can compare the benefits and features of traffic exchanges and get
some idea of which ones might be best for you.

21. What Web Pages to Use With Traffic Exchange
It is not profitable to try to make a sale to traffic exchange participants. The most
productive things you can do is to get participants to sign up on an email list or to
get them to download something. It is best done with a sales page that fits on the
screen without the need for scrolling. It needs a headline that catches the viewer's
interest, a concise sales message with bullet points, and a command for the reader
to fill in a subscription form or download an ebook.
We have such a page offering the Foolproof Income Kit. It is separate from the
regular Foolproof Income download page because it narrowly targets traffic
exchange participants. You can view it here.
Traffic exchange participants are in a hurry and they are accustomed to signing up
to get things, so our page gives them a choice of downloading now or signing up to
get the download link emailed to them. We email the download link on 3 separate
days to the people who sign up. We do not send them any advertising or any more
email because we do not ask them to confirm their sign-up.
Our Foolproof Income page targeting traffic exchangers is for use by affiliates who
choose to make money in a simple way without building an email list. The version
for use by email list builders at their own site does not give the option to download
the manual without signing up. Complete instructions for list building are in a later

How To Do Your TE Web Surfing
"Surfing" means viewing web pages. Each traffic exchange gives you a link to the
page where you do your surfing for credit. Bookmark those pages. Some traffic
exchanges have you log in and then click on a link to start surfing. Others give you
a coded link that takes you straight to the surfing page.
Set your browser's privacy settings so cookies are accepted. The surfing won’t
work if cookies are not accepted. However, you probably can set it to reject 3rd
party cookies. Cookies are not harmful. They are normally used to track who gets
credit for referring you to the site. Cookies do not take information from your
computer and report it back.

22. Maximize the display to the extent that you can without hiding the tabs. You need
to be able to see as much area as possible without having to scroll. But you also
may need to see your page tabs as described below.
Traffic exchanges show the page for a certain amount of time and then allow you
to click on something to go to the next page. Usually, they have some little test,
such as choosing a correct image or answer out of three options. That's to make
sure you're paying attention and you're not running a program that automatically
submits a click at given intervals.
ManyTE's have viewing times of 20 or even 30 seconds for members who have not
upgraded to the premium level. It doesn't take 20 seconds to determine whether
or not you are interested in the product being advertised. You can easily determine
that in 6 seconds, and there is at least one traffic exchange that I know of that has
a 6-second timer. If you are interested in the item advertised, you can take all the
time you choose to read the page and complete an email address form.
You can get around long wait times by having more than one surfing site open at a
time using tabs to go from one to another. For timers as long as 30 seconds, I'd say
have a maximum of 4 sites open. For maximum timers of 20 seconds, have no
more than 3 sites open. Make it 2 sites for 15-second timers. Don't take on more
than you can comfortably handle.
After you have the first traffic exchange surfing page open, hold down the Ctrl key
when you click the bookmark for the nextTE.That opens it in a new tab. If instead,
the second site opens in a second browser window, change your browser settings
so it opens additional pages in tabs instead of new windows. Another way is to
open a new tab before clicking the bookmark for the nextTE site.
The idea is to view a web page long enough to see if you are interested and then
move on to the next tab if you aren't. By the time you make it through the set, the
timer is ready for you. This way you don't have to upgrade just to get a shorter
viewing times, but it still may pay to upgrade for other reasons.

23. 7 Secrets to Profitable Traffic Exchange
This section is for serious Internet marketers who are building an email list , but
points 2 through 6 also apply to beginners who doTE the simple way without a
web site or email list. It applies in general, not just to using our setup.
1 Your goal should be to get the viewer's email address.
Few traffic exchange users are interested in taking the time to read the kind of
sales page that it takes to sell something. And they're not interested in taking the
time to buy something. You need to offer them something that they will get free
when they give you their email address. Generally the gift would be an ebook (or
report), a software item, or a lesson series delivered by email.
If your ultimate goal is to get people to join a program or buy a product, you can
offer a report that gives useful related information and then advertises the pro-
gram or product. In writing your landing page, do not get your sales goal confused
with your immediate goal of getting the sign-up. The page should not promote
anything except the gift you are offering to subscribers.
If you are building an email list that you intend to continue sending emails to, it's
best to require subscribers to confirm their email address. They probably won't
remember who they signed up with, and if they label your email as spam, anyone
will take their word for it unless that list required confirmation.
You can lose up to half of your subscribers with the confirmation requirement if
you don't take countermeasures. Your confirmation request email should remind
the person what gift he gets when he confirms. It helps when you can tell the per-
son that he'll land on the download page when he clicks the confirmation link. Put
the download information in the first email message as well.
You can skip confirmation and not get spam complaints if you send just 3 emails
(an immediate one and backups 2 and 4 days later) that simply tell the person
where to download the free gift he signed up for. Or you can skip confirmation and
not get complaints if you send only the emails of an e-course you promised and
you state at the top of each one that this is number x of 7 emails for the “xxx”
course that they subscribed to. At the end of the e-course you can give them a
good reason to subscribe to your ezine or newsletter.

24. 2 Target traffic exchange users.
Many traffic exchanges let you specify areas of interest that your advertising is tar-
geted to, and they will try to show it only to the traffic exchange users who
checked off that interest. But if they run out of members who have indicated that
interest, they show your page to other members. Also, the fact that users have
indicated a certain interest doesn't guarantee that they are interested in looking at
products for sale in that niche. People take part in traffic exchange mainly to get
viewers for their own pages.
Your sales page needs to quickly catch the interest of traffic exchange users, and
the one thing you know they're interested in is how to get better results from their
traffic exchange efforts. Therefore, you will get the most response if that's what
you offer.
All traffic exchange users also are Internet marketers, so you may find some other
Internet marketing offer that works as well. The point is to get those traffic
exchange using Internet marketers to join your email list even if your business is in
some niche market. At some point, you can offer those subscribers a gift for join-
ing your special interest list to which your regular marketing efforts are oriented.
The advantage of having the general list of traffic exchange users is that it is the
easiest list to build under the circumstances and it will enable you to leverage your
traffic exchange efforts.
3 Take advantage of leverage and cross promotion.
I recommend working with a core group of 3 to 5 traffic exchanges that give you
credit for hits made by members who you refer to them. SomeTE's do that for 3 to
5 generations of members below you. Promote the other traffic exchanges to the
people who join your email list.
This is why I say you should first get subscribers who are interested in making
money with traffic exchange.They are the most likely to be interested in joining
moreTE's and building a big downline under them and you. This can result in get-
ting an ongoing flow of large numbers of hits for your web page – possibly ten
times as many as you get directly from your own surfing.

25. 4 Design your web page for high impact and instant reading.
Traffic exchange surfers probably will view your web page for just a few seconds
before deciding whether to continue reading or move on. They could be surfing
two or more separate traffic exchanges at the same time. Your page should load
instantly. That means you should have a minimum of images on the page. One
should be enough. Specify the image dimensions in the HTML code so if the image
loads slow, the text will load in its proper place.
The entire page should be visible at once. The viewer should not have to scroll to
read it all or to reach the sign-up form.
The headline is the most important element of the page. It has to grab the
viewer's attention and interest. It should directly express the desirable benefit that
you are offering and it should do it in an interesting and believable way.
All advertising copy on the page should relate to what you are offering free right
now. Have a few sentences, 3 to 5 bullet points, and your sign-up form. The sign-
up form should not ask for anything that you don't need. Usually the first name
and email address are sufficient.
5 Track results and work to improve them.
You make the most money by doing more of what works and discontinuing what
doesn't work. To do that, you have to keep track of results. The page that viewers
are shown is called the landing page. Have a different one for each traffic
exchange. You need to know how many hits the page gets and how many of those
viewers subscribe. There is tracking software and there are tracking services. You
can put a visitor counter in the web page code. Or you can use a free link cloaking
service that gives you a count of how many people used the link.
Your autoresponder service can provide statistics on how many people subscribed.
If you use a separate landing page for each traffic exchange (or you use keyed links
and a php script), you can have your autoresponder service keep track of which
landing page each subscriber signed up on. The goal is to find which traffic
exchanges give you the best results in terms of subscriptions per 1000 views. You
can then try out new traffic exchanges and let go of less productive ones.

26. The other thing to test is changes to the landing page. The most important is the
headline. Find the best one through testing. You can also test variations in the
advertising copy and the look of the page.Traffic exchanges allow you to split your
page view credits between landing page links, enabling you to do that kind of test-
ing.
6 Take advantage of extras.
If a traffic exchange is working for you, the paid upgrade to a higher membership
status normally is well worth the cost. That is especially true when you get more
credit for your clicks and/or your required viewing time is reduced at the higher
membership level. The upgrade may include a number of banner exposures or text
ad placements each month. Fully use such extras.
Make good use of all banner and text advertising credit that you get when the surf-
ing done by people under you creates credits for you. I don't think banner displays
and text ads are worth paying for, but free ones are worth using.
You receive commission on the upgrade fees paid by those who join theTE under
you and then upgrade. And if they don't upgrade, commissions come up to you
from members under them who do upgrade. You can use that money to buy more
view credits.
Read all issues of eachTE's newsletter. They may tell about specials where they
give you extra credit for your viewing if you complete a certain number of views in
one session or one day. They also announce specials on paid advertising. If you are
making money on the use of earned view credits, you may be able to make a lot
more money faster by buying view credits, especially when you can get them at a
discount in a special deal.
7 Have a good email sales strategy.
You make your money by recommending products in emails to your subscribers.
Apply all of the usual methods of getting people to read your emails and follow
your recommendations. When using traffic exchange, it is critical to get the sub-
scriber to take interest in your emails. Your goal is to not only have him preapprove
your email address so your emails get delivered, but also have him flag your emails
or send them to a special folder so he actually reads them. You do that by giving

27. him useful information and/or a worthwhile downloadable gift in each email
message.
Have at least 3 email messages set up in your autoresponder that are designed to
motivate the subscriber to stay subscribed and pay attention to you. Of course,
more is better.
If you are doing traffic exchange only to promote a particular program, you are not
going to get much out of sending the program's standard series of 7 emails. You
have to include something else to keep the subscriber interested in looking at your
email messages. Once you have someone doing it, it's a wasted opportunity not to
give him additional offers to consider. If you are still promoting your main offer to
him, the other offers should compliment it. Once it appears that he probably will
not buy your main offer, send him other offers that may interest him even if they
seem like competition for your main offer.
Bonus Tip Follow a Schedule
You will probably get a lot more accomplished if you give yourself a set starting
time and time allotted for doing your surfing each day. I suggest you do your surf-
ing in segments of 200 page views. Make it 150 if that's too tough for you. After
each segment, take a 5-minute break. 5 such segments will take about 2 hours,
which is a good day's work forTE surfing.
TE's normally give you extra credit for getting a lot done in a day. So if you slack
off, it's better to do it by skipping days than by doing less in a day. Read theTE's
newsletter to learn of specials in which they give extra rewards for doing a lot on a

28. Email List-Building Tools and Techniques
The page where visitors give their name and email address is referred to by various
names. It can be called a “subscription page”. Because it “captures” a person's
email address, it can be called an “email capture page”. If you have advertising
with URL's or live links that drive traffic, the page that prospects land on (your
subscription page) can be referred to as a “landing page”.
If you advertise an offer and send prospects to your subscription page where they
are asked to sign up before then can go on to the offer, that kind of page is often
called a “squeeze page” because it “squeezes” the email address out of visitors.
We have 7 list-building setups that you can put on your own web site to add names
and email addresses to your subscriber list. A “setup” includes the email capture
page, the thank-you page, and instructions plus access to free web hosting, free
autoresponder service, and a web page editing program. An unblockable exit
popup is in the page source code, but the software script to make it work is
provided only to Easy Hundreds Partners. The setups are:
1. Easy Hundreds squeeze page. Advertise the Easy Hundreds Program and
send prospects to this page where they are asked to sign up to see the sales
page. For those who don't sign up, your exit popup could send them to the
sales page anyway or it could send them to your Foolproof Income squeeze
page. There is a long version and a short version of this page.
2. Foolproof Income email capture page. Advertise the Foolproof Income Kit
and have people sign up to get it. Use an unblockable exit popup to send
people who exit without signing up to the Easy Hundreds sales page. This

Building Your Traffic Exchange Downline
Most traffic exchange programs give you view credits for surfing done by people
who you recruit into the program, often a number of levels deep. The people
sponsored on those levels are called a downline. You can use this manual to build
your traffic exchange downline even when you send your prospects to download
the Manual from our web site.
To do it, put a page on your web site that contains your recommendations. Then
write to customer support and tell us your affiliate code and the URL of your
recommendation page. We will set things up so when your prospects click on the
recommendation link on page 20, they will land on your recommendation page.
You can also get a customized copy of the Foolproof Income Manual and have your
prospects download copies from your web site. Then all links in the Manual will
have your affiliate code in them. To get your customized Manual, click on “Custom

Downlines in traffic exchanges can generate much more viewing of your offer than
you can generate with your own traffic exchange surfing. Combine that with the
automatic sponsoring in Easy Hundreds, and you have quite an income machine.
Subscription Confirmation
It is risky to send email to subscribers who were not required to confirm their sub-
scription because if they complain to your autoresponder service that you sent
them spam, you have no proof to the contrary. But with a squeeze page, you'll lose
most of your prospects if you require them to confirm their subscription before you
show them the sales page.

30. One solution is to have subscribers land on a thank-you page that tells them you
have a gift for them that they'll receive when they click the confirmation link that
they'll get by email. Then send them on to the offer you advertised or to the
Foolproof Income download page if that's what you advertised.
If you choose not to have your subscriber confirm, take measures to make sure
your emails are not interpreted as spam. The first email should thank them for
visiting your web site and signing up for your emails. Subsequent ones should have
a message at the top referring to their sign-up at your web site. Have some kind of
identity and purpose to your emails so readers get familiar with you.
Even with that, I think it is safest to do that with a limited number of emails in a
series and not send any emails outside of that series. During your series get sub-
scribers to subscribe to a different list and get confirmation for that list. Give them
a good incentive to sign up and confirm. Then you can send them emails at will
and can always prove that they are legitimate subscribers.
When you use traffic exchange to build your list, the confirmation rate can be
much lower than 50% because traffic exchangers may sign up for many things and
not remember what they signed up for. In addition, they may be getting so many
emails that they're not reading them anyway.
One method is to give them the Foolproof Income download link on the thank-
you-for-subscribing page. Then send them 3 emails spaced a few days apart. Each
one has “Here is your download link” or something like that for the subject. Tell
them that you're sending 3 separate emails containing the download link to make
sure they don't miss getting the Foolproof Income Kit that they requested.
Then in those email messages, get them to sign up for something else. When they
read your email, they're not in the middle of traffic exchange, so they can pay
attention and know what they are signing up for and then watch for the
confirmation email so they can confirm and get what you promised.
Then you have a confirmed subscriber to whom you can safely send commercial
email. Another benefit is that the subscriber may use a better email address on his
second sign-up instead of a throw-away one that he uses for sign-up during traffic
exchange.

31. Free Internet Marketing Tools
To build an email list, you need your own web site for people to subscribe at, and
you need an autoresponder service that also manages your list. You can get that
and the other things you need totally free. The sources are listed below.

If you are just editing one of our email capture pages, you can do it with a plain text
editor such as MS Notepad, which is supplied with anyWindows computer. With
such an editing program, you work with the HTML version of the page. You need
to use HTML view to edit an autoresponder form.
For more extensive web page work, you'll want a program that enables you to
work on a web page while it looks like it does in a browser. That kind of display is
called “WYSIWYG”, short for “what you see is what you get”.
Here's a free autoresponder service: listwire.com
It has ad tracking and lets you specify where subscribers land when they click the
link to confirm their email address. It allows double opt-in only. That means sub-
scribers are not added to your list until they click on a link that they get by email to
confirm that they personally signed up.
DirectResponders is an excellent full-featured autoresponder service with the low
price of just $9.95 per month for any size list. If your list is over 10,000 and you are
concerned with saving money, this is an excellent choice. The one drawback,
though, is that it allows double opt-in only.
The two dominant, long-established autoresponder services are AWeber and
GetResponse. They are known for their ability to keep their service from being
blocked by spam filters. Both offer single opt-in (no confirmation requirement)

33. Domain Name Tips
You need to have a domain name so people can find your web site. Web hosts that
charge a fee usually provide free domain name registration. I advise against using
their free domain name registration service unless you know what it costs after the
first year and what services they provide if you change to a different web host
while leaving your domain name registration with them.
For domain name registration, I recommend NameGuard.com for its low price of
$10.49 per year and everything you get with it at no extra charge. Privacy protec-
tion, domain parking, URL forwarding, and email forwarding is included free. You
can even have 2 free email accounts with a parked domain.
Domain parking means you can have a domain name there without hosting it any-
where. Privacy protection means that your name, address, and phone number
can't be viewed in theWhois database of domain name owners.
URL forwarding means you can have anyone who goes to your domain name with
their browser land on any web page you specify. Email forwarding means you can
give people an email address at your domain and have the email forwarded to the
email service that you use for reading your mail.
The main use of a domain name is to have it for a web site, which in this case is
needed for your list-building subscription page. Rather than using a long or lame
domain name in your promotions, I recommend that you register a 4 character
domain name that doesn't say anything and then use appealing sub-domain
names that suit whatever you are promoting.
For example, assume you have the domain name zz99.com. You can't get the
domain name EasyIncome.com, but you could use EasyIncome.zz99.com instead.
Or FreeSoftware.zz99.com, MiracleWeightLoss.zz99.com,
EraseYourDebts.zz99.com, StopForeclosure.ez99.com, FreeIncomeKit.zz99.com
or anything that fits what you advertise. With most web hosting services, you can
set up as many sub-domain names as you choose. If you plan to register just one
domain name, I think it's smart to make it a neutral 4 or 5-character one.
Use ".com" names only. If you have any other suffix, a significant number of people
will type it as ".com" instead and fail to reach your web site.

34. Email Address Tips
I'm talking about the email address that you tell other people to write to. What
impression does it give people? Is it easy to remember or long and cumbersome
and easy to misspell or forget? Do you have different ones for different purposes?
When someone is trying to sell a product online to me and his email address is
from a free email service or an Internet Service Provider, I can't help but think of
the seller as less than professional and therefore not entirely reliable.
No matter where you like to receive your email, you can have nice email addresses
at your own domain. For example, if your name is Judy and you have the domain
used in the earlier example, you could have the email address Judy@zz99.com.
Your PayPal and business email address could be sales@zz99.com or Custom-
erService@zz99.com. If you have a domain name that's your company name,
then have your business email address at that domain.
Even the recommended free web host provides email service. Yet, you don't have
to use your web host's online email program nor do you have to use an email pro-
gram on your computer if you prefer not to. You can set all of the email address
names you create at your web host to forward the messages to your preferred
online email service. If you change your email service, you don't have to notify
anyone. You just have to change the forwarding info at your web host.
It pays to have different email addresses for different levels of dealing with spam.
You can have one that you give to people you know, you use in registering hard-
ware and software, and you use with your bank, and with other businesses that
don't market things to you. This email address wouldn't get any spam.
You can have a different email address for registering in affiliate programs and
subscribing to ezines and newsletters that you know you want to receive. Giving
your email address to such businesses normally doesn't bring spam, but it can.
Then have an email address for use anywhere that you're not sure it won't be
shared with other advertisers. Examples are signing up to see a sales page or to
get a free gift, taking paid online surveys, signing up for things when you're doing
traffic exchange, and especially anything connected with list-building gift
giveaway events.

recipients read the sales letter than the proportion of postcard recipients who go

appears on the Easy Hundreds web sales page. It can be mailed with or without an
envelope. There is space at the top of the first page for addressing and postage in
case you choose to mail it as a self-mailer. No return envelope is needed because
customers pay online.
But don't mail it alone. What really seals the deal is a 2-page letter that is designed
to go along with the 4-page one. Let me give you a little background information
on it.

36. When mailing to a mailing list online, you can double or triple sales by having a
good presentation in which you personally recommend the offer. Do it in the email
or on a web page that the prospect reads before going to the standard sales page.
In a similar way when you mail printed sales letters, you can substantially increase
sales by including a personal recommendation letter.
I agreed to help an Easy Hundreds Partner write a personal letter to mail along
with the Easy Hundreds sales letter to inquirers from her classified ads. The letter
turned out better than I ever expected. It's affect is almost magical.
It just didn't seem right to limit this wonderful letter to the little mailing she does. I

online. Don't get that mixed up with telling them why they should join the

I expect that people who look at opportunity ads on the Internet are less likely to
be interested in reading an ad on making money by mail, so I do not recommend
using paid Internet advertising to send prospects to the Butterfield web page.

I enjoy having people tell me that they're delighted to be making thousands of
dollars per week. It's fun to have people tell me that they've tried lots of programs
and this is the first one that they've really been able to make money with.
What's not so much fun is to hear from people who say, “Oh. This is too hard. I
don't know how to download. Signing up at PayPal is too complicated. I'll never
be able to do this.”
People who make thousands of dollars per week with their home-based marketing
business are not necessarily smarter or more talented than average. They are
people who believe in themselves. When they started out with little or no money,
