2. Mind Maps/Brainstorms
Star by using the first few slides to create mind
maps and or brainstorms for ideas related to
your project. Get as many possibilities as you
can.
Don’t worry about practicality, suitability or
potential at this stage. You will assess the ideas
later.

6. Idea Evaluation
Which of your ideas do you want to develop further? Explain why you think that is
the right idea to take forward.
I have come to a final idea for my client project, as I have been asked to rebrand the
company I will be making a website for the company, a business card, logo and stickers
for the vans then the uniform for the company.
Looking at the mind maps I will be designing the companies
7. Development
• Development should include mood boards or other visual
examples of work. It could include basic mock ups of your
vision for the project using the work of others.
• These don’t need to be the same quality as your finished
pieces but they a good indicator of where your project is
going.
• As this is not final work, it may include work from others.
• You could include test work or practice work here too to
further develop your skills.

Colours and fonts
When Re-Branding my clients company a big
part of the look will be based in the color pallet
I choose and fonts I use. However when
making these, I must try and always take into
account that the colors and fonts used must
work and look good across all the content I
make.
Making sure I stick to the clients brief whilst
taking there target audience into account, so I
will have to make it professional and smart.
When choosing my color pallets for the project I
am trying to stick to dark and plain colors, not
making them too vibrant and in your face. As I
want the work I make to look professional, not
boring but simple.

Colours and fonts
After speaking with my client more I have been giving parts of
my brief, however this means that my slide on fonts and colors
isn't exactly what they want.
After speaking with the client the fonts I must use will need to
resemble a more traditional style, using more serif fonts that are
typically used in heritage related work and places such as
advertisement for the national trust or nature programs.
The colors I use should resemble nature and the roots of
heritage and the work the company do, using colors to resemble
the slates and stone but also woodland colors found in
Yorkshire.
- Aguero Serif
- Morva
- Assassin
-North East
- Optimus Princeps
10. Colour pallets
This colour palette is a set of the colours which I will be using for my production when it comes to it, I have chosen a
set of darker autumnal colours.
I have chosen these colours from a paint website, this is because lots of paint makes have a range pf heritage
colours as part of there line. I looked through all the paints that they had to offer picking through which ones
resemble heritage to me but also are typically seen in the work the company do and the surroundings areas in
which they operate.
I have chosen these colours because the companies key selling point is the heritage side of the work, and this set of
colours are all typical colours associated with heritage, but also nature and the work itself, using stone colours and
typical colours found on slate.

12. Developed Idea 1
Logo Experiments:
These logos I have made all follow a typical
modernized trade style typically used in
construction work, however since my client
wants a traditional style due to the companies
heritage roots these do not follow the correct
style I should be aiming for.
13. These logo experiments are the ones I have made after having more
of an understanding of what my client wants.
Therefore I have used lots more traditional serif fonts, and
interpreting aspects of heritage and nature into the logo. Using the
traditional tools in the logo but also sticking to my colour palette, and
trying to stay away from any modern aspects on the logo, such as
bright colours and san-serif straight edged fonts.
These logos fit my clients brief, but also give me an idea on the style I
should go for when making my clients website and what not. But also
are logos which will link across al the aspects I will be making, where
as some of the other logos I made before more of a brief are to
modern and may look weird when mixed with the traditional style of
the cards and website.
14. My Production schedule
Week 1: I will start my week designing the logo for
the company as I will be using it in all my work. In
the same week I will also design the uniforms for
the company as the logo will be the main aspect of
this.
I will also collect my images and what written
elements I may need for the website in this week to
prepare so I can get straight onto the website the
next week.
Week 2: I will spend this entire week making the
website for the company as this is the most
important and biggest element of the client project.
Week 3: will be for making the business cards and
stickers for the truck, this is because I want to have
my cards match the website in a way maybe
following a very similar style so that every part of
the project all links.
15. Assessment of final ideas
Suitability for audience:. Do you think your audience will engage with your ideas?
Suitability for client: Does your idea fulfil the brief your client gave you?
Timescales: Is your project practical and manageable in the time you have?
Audience; after planning for my clients project I have been looking at existing companies that share similar styles
and also have a heritage background, this has helped me come up with several ideas and aspects that I will include
in my work to get these peoples attention.
I have looked at why people might buy an unlisted property with history and the types of people that do so, and
then from that have came up with something that I believe would be interesting to them, so making sure to
include lots of photography of the work and surrounding areas, but selling my business as someone full of passion
for it and with a real care for the up-keep of the country is key as its what they will be looking for as someone who
wants the same.
Client: I believe that the plan I have made for my project will be suitable for my client, I have taken what I believe
that they want and made it into a plan of something I am now going to begin producing, including what aspects I
believe they should use but also what I have seen to be common for heritage based projects also.
My first plan I had in mind isn't entirely my final idea as I have had to branch away from a more modern style of
advertisement and gone down a far more traditional style which is what my client would like but it also makes far
more sense for the heritage business.
Timescale: I believe that I will in fact have enough time to finish my project and may even try and extend the time I
have to spend on my evaluation.
16. Production Schedule:
You should prepare a production schedule that will allow you to manage your time over
the 4 weeks of production. This should include:
• Deadlines: Interim deadlines help you keep on track, final deadlines are final.
• Availability: The availability of the client and any other people you may need to help
you with your project. You will need to contact them. You might to do visit. You may
need to liaise with models, or photographers.
• Feedback: This is a working brief with a real client. You will need to get feedback on
your work and also allow yourself time to make appropriate changes. Plan appropriate
time in to you schedule so that you can do this.
• Resources: You should include a list of resources that you will need to complete your
project. Remember that this all needs to be your own work
