2. Technical and practical problems solution
I hop to be using my camera a lot of this project, however my camera may not
work when it comes to one of the shoots.
I will always make sure my camera is fully charged the night before I am going
shooting, if this happens I will have to use my phone on the day and think
about going back to the location at a later date.
I will be spending a lot of time editing my images that I collect, I may struggle
to find away to edit the images the way I hope wasting time.
I will spend my time in planning ,experimenting and testing out various
techniques and Photoshop tutorials to find a style before I start the
production.
Since I will be taking various images over my project I may face issues with
storing the images, I may lose some or run out of space on my camera.
I will make sure to move my images onto a memory stick after each session, I
will also carry 2 SD cards with me at all times when out shooting. If I do lose
any images I will be making sure I take plenty so I can replace it if I don’t have
the chance to retake it.
I will try and incorporate my illustration to the work, however I may face time
issues due to my work pace with this type of work.
I will make sure to plan what illustration I will be doing in advance stopping
me from taking to much on, but also plan my project so that I have plenty of
time in and out of college for drawing.
I haven't had lots and lots of photography experience and may struggle to get
loads of amazing photography.
I will make sure that I take loads of images so I have a better chance, but I will
also take images of people riding but also just lounging around.
I have struggled in the past to make images on Photoshop using a mouse with
time and the quality.
I will be using a graphics tablet at some point in this project for the digital
aspects of the illustration.
I may face restrictions with editing my photos, such as not being able to
recreate a certain effect or making the images look older.
If I do face this problem there is loads of other software's, tutorials and things
you can download onto Photoshop to use. But also if I test this out prior to
the project I will face this issue sooner and can find my solution before
production.
Filming in
3. Theoretical problems Solution
I will be shooting my images around bikes and in
skate parks, this could be dangerous for me and my
equipment.
I will make sure that I keep all my equipment in a bag on my back, only taking things out
when its needed. I will also make sure people are aware of me and that I am shooting, but
also will be with a friend so if I do lose focus of my surroundings they are aware of what's
around me.
Filming outside can cause problems with weather, I
may plan to shoot at a certain location but then it
rains.
I will try and plan around the weather forecast and go shooting on clear days, however if it
still occurs I will still go out and get what I can but if its not very successful try and plan to go
back to the spot.
I will be using models in my photoshoot that require
a certain look, they may let me down but also may
not suit the look.
If my models let me down I will make sure to either have backups or various models so if one
does not show I at least can still take photos. However I will bring clothes with me in my bag if
any of them don’t have the look to match the magazine.
shooting in busy locations may cause problems for
the photography, people may get in shots I don’t
want or obstruct.
Taking lots images will help me make sure I will get at least one, also I will try and make sure I
film at some quiet locations so I get images with no people in the back at all.
Also if there's a certain shot i need that may require no people, we can always ask people to
mind just for a couple minutes.
i will need to find transport to the locations, and may
run into financial problems.
Planning ahead for this is the best solution if I plan and choose the spots and locations for
shooting, I can then learn the costs of the transport and start saving now giving me lots of
time to save enough for the travel.
For some of my shots I will be going to locations that
may be a bit out of the way and quite a journey. I
may face issues with people needing the toilet and
food.
When we go out to these locations I will make sure that I bring along with me food ad
refreshments, also I will try to take in what may be on the surrounding area such as toilets.
But some locations may not be near toilets at all therefore I can bring toilet roll with as all the
people who will be with me are male.
As I will be filming BMX there are many health and
safety issues for the riders and myself shooting. I may
get hit or the riders may fall.
We will all have phones with us for anything serious that may happen and make people
aware where we are and what we are doing. There will be a few of us so if something does
happen there is always people who are okay and can help.
We will bring any safety equipment such as helmets for any more daring and dangerous
stunts.
4. Photoshop Typography Testing
I went on to photo shop and experimented with the
blending options with type, as it gives you various easy
options for making your text stand out more.
I tested out all of the options and have noted down the ones
I liked, showing examples of what they look like and what
functions they have that I find relevant to me.
The text is basic as its reference for myself when doing the
production, and having it simple helps speed up my
production when it comes to the typography of my work.
