3. These inventions
became known across
the world and so did he.
But those were not the
only inventions he had
he also had the motion
picture camera, the
stock ticker, and the
typewriter.
4. Childhood
Thomas Edison was born
on February 11, 1847. His
name at birth was Thomas
Alva Edison.
Thomas was seven when his
family moved to Port Huron,
Michigan. He lived here for
a while and struck out on
his own at the age of 16.
5. Thomas had very little
education as a child but
he was home schooled
by his mom.
Eventually he taught
himself how to read and
he lived with that the
rest of his life.
6. Working
Thomas began working at
an early age. Most boys
start working that time.
He got a job as a newsboy
and read a lot. He read so
much he learned how to
operate a telegraph.
When he got older he
worked as a telegrapher.
7. My hero
Thomas died on october 18
1931 of natural causes. Thomas
Edison made an impact on the
world and today wouldn't be
the same with out him. This is
why Thomas Edison is my
hero. The thing I always
remember is this quote,
"Genius is 1% inspiration and
99% perspiration"
