LSC BASKETBALL
The Tarleton State men posted two more wins to remain perfect on the season at 7-0. The Texans are the only
unbeaten Lone Star Conference squad and one of 21 unbeaten in NCAA Division II men’s basketball. Four other
LSC teams have only one loss including the Angelo State men, and Midwestern State, TSU and West Texas A&M
women.
This week teams will focus on academics before resuming non-conference play with nine games on the
men’s side and 10 for the women.
The LSC men have a 44-22 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s
teams are currently 12-5 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 8-6 against the Rocky Mountain
Athletic Conference.
The LSC women are 31-31 overall. The women’s squads are currently 10-16 combined against the Heartland,
and 6-3 versus RMAC teams, which are the other conferences in the NCAA South Central Region.
The LSC champion will be the regular season winner determined by league games, while the postseason

  • 1. LONE STAR CONFERENCE BASKETBALL WEEKLY RELEASE | DECEMBER 8, 2014 Contact: Melanie Robotham | Assistant Commissioner | Office: 972-234-0033 x. 103 | E-mail: melanie@lonestarconference.org | www.lonestarconference.org | Twitter: @LoneStarConf LSC BASKETBALL The Tarleton State men posted two more wins to remain perfect on the season at 7-0. The Texans are the only unbeaten Lone Star Conference squad and one of 21 unbeaten in NCAA Division II men’s basketball. Four other LSC teams have only one loss including the Angelo State men, and Midwestern State, TSU and West Texas A&M women. This week teams will focus on academics before resuming non-conference play with nine games on the men’s side and 10 for the women. The LSC men have a 44-22 overall record so far this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the men’s teams are currently 12-5 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 8-6 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The LSC women are 31-31 overall. The women’s squads are currently 10-16 combined against the Heartland, and 6-3 versus RMAC teams, which are the other conferences in the NCAA South Central Region. The LSC champion will be the regular season winner determined by league games, while the postseason tournament winner is designated as LSC Tournament Champion and earns the conference’s automatic qualification. The top eight teams in the final conference standings qualify for the postseason tournament set for March 4-7 in Allen, Texas.
