7-for-9 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 at the line. Additionally, all three of his assists, and his two steals
came in the second half against A&M-Commerce. In 17 games this season, the CU senior is averaging 13.9
points.
Lawrence Domingo, Eastern New Mexico University, averaging a double-double for the week, was the
standout player for the Greyhounds in scoring and rebounding as ENMU went 0-2, falling to Texas A&M-
Kingsville and No. 15 Angelo State. Against TAMUK the senior forward scored 25 points and pulled down nine
rebounds. In the contest with Angelo, Domingo hauled in 11 boards and scored 12 points for his fourth double-
double of the season. He is now fifth in the LSC in scoring average with 17.0 ppg (conference stats only) and
third in rebounding at 9.8 boards a game.
Stedman Allen, Angelo State University, once again led the Rams offensive effort this week dropping in 19
points against West Texas A&M and 17 points against Eastern New Mexico. The senior is currently riding a
seven game streak of scoring in double-figures and has marked 11 games with at least 15 points this season. He
was 13-22 from the field for 59 percent and 10-18 from the free throw line for 55 percent. Allen added eight
total boards and four steals to his final numbers for the week.
Omari Gudul, Angelo State University, has been the back bone of the Rams defense this season. The veteran
grabbed a total of 20 boards this week recording eight against West Texas A&M and 12 against ENMU. He has
recorded eight total games this season pulling down double-digit boards. His defensive performance against
the Greyhounds along with scoring 12 points earned the senior his team leading fourth double-double of the
year. In addition, the big man added three blocks to his defensive numbers for the week. Offensively, Gudul
knocked down 20 points for the week hitting 8-13 from the paint and 4-8 from the charity stripe.
EJ Reed, Tarleton State University, posted his LSC-leading ninth double-double of the season with 18 points
and 10 rebounds against No. 4 Midwestern State. Eight of Reed’s 10 rebounds were on the defensive end and
he also had a block. The senior forward helped hold MSU to a season low 66 points after the Mustangs came in
averaging 88 points per game.
WOMEN’S OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Kassandra Harris, Eastern New Mexico University, averaged 18 points last week, in action against Texas A&M-
Kingsville and Angelo State. In leading the Hounds to a Lone Star Conference win over the Javelinas, she hit for
24 points, six rebounds, a blocked shot and steal. In that game, Harris connected on 68.8 percent of her field
goal attempts. Harris also connected on 6-of-8 from the free-throw line against ASU to finish with 12 points.
Erin Maxwell, Texas Woman’s University, helped the team to a 2-0 record with a team best 17.0 points per
game and a .654 shooting percentage. She also averaged 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks. Maxwell recorded
a career-high and a game-best 24 points and 9 rebounds in a win against Texas A&M-Commerce. She also
recorded 3 blocks against the Lions to set a new TWU single-season record with 59. Maxwell broke a 25 year
old record set in 1990-91. She also added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks in a road win at Tarleton State.
Maxwell scored the Pioneers’ go ahead basket with 23 seconds left after they rallied from a 17-point deficit in
a 61-58 win. In the six LSC games this season she is averaging 14.0 points, 9.8 rebound and 4.3 blocks.
Michaela Neuhaus, West Texas A&M University, continued her hot start to conference play averaging 17.0
points on 11 of 17 from the field (.647) and 8 of 13 from beyond the arc (.615) this week to lead the Lady Buffs
to a 1-1 record. Neuhaus had five assists for the week and went 4 of 4 from the line. Neuhaus recorded her
second game of 20 or more points this season with 20 against Texas A&M-Kingsville and third of her WT career.
In conference play, she is averaging a team-best 14.2 points, shooting .596 from the field (28-47) and .548 from
beyond the arc (17-31) and 12 of 13 from the line. She has 17 assists and six steals in conference play with two
blocks.
Artaejah Gay, Texas A&M University - Commerce, was unstoppable this week, leading the Lions in an 2-1
week of LSC play. Gay scored in double figures in each game and had double-doubles in two of three games.
Against Cameron, Gay recorded 17 points, 11 rebounds, and shot 70 percent (7-of-10) from the floor. In the
final game of the week against Midwestern State, Gay notched her second double-double of the season with 11
points and 11 rebounds, shooting 80 percent (4-of-5) from the floor. She had 11 points versus Texas Woman’s.
When combining all three games, Gay shot 69.6 percent from the floor, 50 percent from the charity stripe, and
led the Lions in rebounding and blocked shots.
Jennifer Sissel, Midwestern State University, put together another great week for Midwestern State,
averaging a double-double with 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds to help the Mustangs to a 1-1 record. The
Wichita Falls native recorded her second career double-double and second in as many games Wednesday in a
win over rival Tarleton State with 16 points and a career-high 14 boards, putting the Mustangs ahead for good
at 54-52 with less than two minutes to play. She also matched a career-high three assists in the win. Sissel also
had a solid performance in a road loss at Texas A&M-Commerce, recording eight points, six boards and one
steal.
Bailey Wipff, Tarleton State University, led the TexAnns in scoring last week with 10.5 points per game against
Midwestern State and Texas Woman’s.
Ikpeaku Iwobi, Tarleton State University, led the TexAnns in rebounding last week while also forcing five
steals, including four against Midwestern State Wednesday.
Artaejah Gay, Texas A&M University - Commerce, was disruptive for opponents this week on both sides
of the ball. Gay locked down the paint with a team high of three blocks and 13 defensive rebounds. She also
recorded two steals. Because she was so effective inside the paint, opponents were forced to shoot from the
perimeter, where they shot 25.5 percent from three-point range (13-51) including holding the LSC leading
three-point shooting team, the Cameron Aggies, to a 28.6 shooting percentage on 6-of-21 attempts.
Madison Wild, West Texas A&M University, continued to have a strong season defensively for the Lady Buffs
as she averaged 6.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for WT. Wild went 7 of 8 from the field (.875) and 2 of 3 from the
line and pulled down 13 rebound for the week with 12 on the defensive end as the opposition shot just .385
for the week and scored just 59 points per game. Wild and the Lady Buffs have not allowed a team to shoot 40
percent or better all season.
Johna McClelland, Eastern New Mexico University, turned in a superlative defensive performance last week,
and helped limit the opposition to just 65.5 points per game. She also blocked nine shots, which included six
