After logging in to Moodle, click on a course. In this case, we click on Demo Course.

News forum is a place for teachers to post general announcements to students. The forum is automatically created for each
course. By default, all course participants are subscribed to this forum and so they will receive a notification email whenever a new
post/topic is added to the forum. Now, click on News forum and let’s go through the key steps to post an announcement.

To post an announcement, click on the Add a new topic button.
Note that only users with the Teacher role can add new post/topic to the forum.

Input a name for your new post/topic into the Subject field, e.g., Class re-schedule.

Input the content of your post/topic into the Message box.

You can use the HTML editor to change the font and color of the content.

If you want to send this message to your students immediately, check the Mail now box;
or the message will be sent 30 minutes later.
