Education:
Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which knowledge, skills, and habits of a
group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, research, or
simply through autodidacticism.[1]
Generally, it occurs through any experience that has a formative effect
on the way one thinks, feels, or acts.
Amber Hilton saya abiyt education.
Education means a wide variety of things to different people. For some, education is
something that is done in a classroom on the road to creating a career. For others, education
involves the gaining of life experience. For still others, education can mean the persistent
gathering of knowledge.
Education can mean all of these things. Education can and does exist in a classroom, but
it is not imprisoned there. Education is a lifelong process. Will Durant, U.S. author and historian,
once wrote, "education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance." While this quote could
be relevant from a historical standpoint, it can also be understood on a more personal level.
When people are young, they think that they know everything. It is only with life experience that
they realize how little they really begin to grasp. Education can therefore be seem as simply
living life, craving knowledge, learning from mistakes and finally realizing that you really don't
know it all.

Education System in Pakistan:
In Human development Report Pakistan is placed at 136th position for having just 49.9% educated
population. In addition to that, Pakistan is ranked at 113th out of 120 registered UN members according
to the research conducted by UNESCO et. all. Some of the very basic flaws of the education system in
Pakistan contribute to the economic, ethnic and sociopolitical crisis within the country.
Only 80% children’s received primary education in Pakistan and the 60% received
BIEK(board of Intermediate Education Karachi) and only 40 % enrolled in Universities for
graduation and masters plan.
The education system in Pakistan is generally divided into five levels: primary (grades
one through five); middle (grades six through eight); high (grades nine and ten, leading to the
Secondary School Certificate or SSC); intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a
Higher Secondary (School) Certificate or HSC); and university programs leading to
undergraduate and graduate degrees.[4]
The literacy rate ranges from 87% in Islamabad to 20% in the Kohlu District.[5]
Between
2000—2004, Pakistanis in the age group 55–64 had a literacy rate of almost 30%, those aged
between 45–54 had a literacy rate of nearly 40%, those between 25–34 had a literacy rate of
50%, and those aged 15–24 had a literacy rate of 60%. Literacy rates vary regionally, particularly
by sex. In tribal areas female literacy is 7.5%.Moreover, English is fast spreading in Pakistan,
with 18 million Pakistanis (11% of the population) having a command over the English
language, which makes it the 3rd Largest English Speaking Nation[9]
in the world and the 2nd
largest in Asia.

Causes Of Fall Of Education
In Pakistan
irstly, the education system of ―Pakistan‖ is based on unequal lines. Medium of education is
different in both, public and private sector. This creates a sort of disparity among people,
dividing them into two segments. Such a distraught infrastructure is a basic cause of high
illiteracy rate in Pakistan and high dropout rates in rural areas and public school.
econdly, regional disparity is also a major cause. The schools in Baluchistan (the largest
province of Pakistan by Area) are not that much groomed as that of Punjab (the largest
province Of Pakistan by Population). In FATA, the literacy rate is deplorable
constituting 29.5% in males and 3% in females.
hird major cause of flawed education system in Pakistan is gender discrimination. The
current primary school ratio of boys and girls is 10:4, which is a cause of huge
concern. For the last few years there has been an increase in the growth of private
schools. It is believed that Pakistan is among the most prominent states affected by gender
discrimination. That not only harms the quality of education in Pakistan but create a gap among
haves and have nots.
ourthly, the lack of technical education is a biggest flaw in the education policy that
has never been focused before. Therefore, less technical people means low standard of
education.
ifthly the allocation of funds for education are
very low. It is only 1.5 to 2.0 percent of the total
GDP. It should be around 7% of the total
GDP. At that budget allocation, the illiteracy rate in

Pakistan would not decrease but rather increase. The federal and provincial governments need to
cut down their expenditures in other areas and spend a bigger proportion of income on education.
Moreover, the quality of education in most of the public schools and colleges is well below par;
the teachers in government schools are not well trained. People who do not get job in any other
sector, they try their luck in educational system. They are not professionally trained teachers so
they are unable to train a nation. Quality of teaching needs special attention in rural areas where
the teachers lack in all departments.

Recommendation:
There is a dire need for the new upcoming government to reserve funds and duly concentrate on
the development of secondary and higher education. We have Europe as an example: it was rescued from
the Dark Ages by the miracle of the Renaissance, moving further ahead to develop benchmarks such as
Oxford and Cambridge in the world of education. We can only hope that the new government stresses
giving incentives and encourages the upcoming generation in playing its part in the revolution by
redefining and improving our education system. This effort is the only thing that can stand as a silver
lining in the dark clouds of misery, discontent, terrorism and dilemmas that surround our country.

Conclusion:
In the above survey of Pakistan Education system it is notice that the education system of
Pakistan is not good as compare to the others countries.
Only 40 % Students enrolled for graduation and masters plan in universities from all over the
Pakistan that is the education system of Pakistan. I conclude that Education is the most important for all
not only for men’s but it is also for women’s but unfortunately in Pakistan it is compulsory for men only.
A famous Economist says about education,
“If u wants to change the world than first change the education system
because education is the only thing that changes the world”
