Seeks Sponsors for
October 9, 2011 Horse Show
The Pony Express 4-H Club of Mineral County, WV will be hosting a horse show
on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Mineral County Fairgrounds in Fort Ashby,
WV. A copy of the show bill is attached to this message.
Sponsors are being sought to help with the expenses of the show. This is an
excellent opportunity to advertise your business or organization while showing
support for an organization that benefits the youth of our community.
There are several opportunities for sponsorship. You can sponsor a regular class
during the show for $25. The cost to sponsor a jackpot class is $50. If you would
like to set up a table to display or sell your goods or services the cost is just $25.
We would also appreciate it if you would display our show bill at your location.
All sponsors will be acknowledged on the public address system. Class sponsors
will be announced at the beginning and conclusion of their sponsored classes.
Throughout the day the public address announcers will remind the attendees to
visit the vendors who are supporting this event. All sponsors will also be
acknowledged on the Pony Express 4-H Club Facebook page
(http://www.facebook.com/PonyExpress4H).
If you would like to sponsor classes or have a table at the horse show please fill
out the sponsor form and return it along with your check made payable to Pony
Express 4-H. Please return the form and your check no later than October 6, 2011.

SHOW RULES
1. Judges decision is final
2. Show management reserves the right to cancel or combine any class
3. Number stays Horse / Rider combination
4. Must cancel class two classes beforehand
5. All age groups:
a. Small Fry – 12 years and under as of January 1, 2011
b. Youth – 13 through 18 as of January 1, 2011
c. All 4-H is open to any regardless of State
6. Ponies must stand 14.2 hands and under and may be shown by child or adult
7. Miniatures must stand 36” or under at the withers
8. Current negative coggins is required and will be checked
9. All 4-H, Youth, Small Fry must wear approved helmets any time they are mounted!
10. THERE WILL BE NO PENALTY FOR ENGLISH HELMETS IN WESTERN CLASSES
11. Must Execute Gait within three strides for Egg and Spoon class
12. Must note any tack changes
13. HAVE FUN!!!!!!

A concession stand operated by the Pony Express 4-H Club will be available throughout the show.

person or animal. We will not be responsible for any damage or destruction of properties, real or personal, arising
directly or indirectly from operations, products, or services provided in connection with this horse show.
