6/17/2012-7/29/2012
Two part program entailing a two week stay in Rome observing the city’s
Heritage, Architecture, and Art under the supervision of Dr. Corby Kelly,
visiting Professor at Texas Tech. The last four weeks were dedicated to
assisting in the excavation of the Roman fort at Binchester in the Northern
UK alongside students from Durham University. Here I developed skills
in Total Data Station use and basic application of Archaeological
technique (i.e.: mapping, sketching, cataloguing, finds recovery and care)

INTERESTS I’m interested in all facets of Archaeological work and have always felt at
home in the field where I acquired the most praise from my peers. Areas I
find most interesting in terms of primary research exploration include
Maritime/Underwater Archaeology, Experimental Archaeology,
Archaeology of the North, Archaeology of Roman Britain, Ancient Food
Ways, Representation of Gender & Sexuality in the Archaeological
record, and much more.
