Dr. L.T.M. Muungo (DipPharm, BScPharm, MPhil, PhD, MIodZ, LMPSZ) is trained and qualified pharmacist with advanced clinical and industrial pharmacy. He is the Founding Head of localized pharmacy degree program in Zambia established in 2001. He initiated the postgraduate training for qualified pharmacists at the University of Zambia. He is also the Founding Designate Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Nutrition & Dietetics at Lusaka Apex Medical University from 2011. The pharmacy training program coordinated and headed by Dr. Muungo has contributed immensely towards required pharmaceutical personnel for Zambia from barely 30 personnel in 2000 to over 400 personnel in 2014.
