The File Management System (FMS) for Directorate of Information Technology is
meant to keep track of the physical correspondence (Letters, Memos and Files)
circulated among Directorates. This Tracking of physical documents shall be based on
Barcode which shall be generated based on the inputs provided by the Correspondence
Initiator in to the Workflow.
FMS has been deployed in DIT (Sena Bhavan) at Central Server along with the base
Document Management engine; The FMS hosted at DIT Central Server shall be
accessible to all the predefined users available at different directorates.
This application is a web based application & 80 users in distributed environment shall
be able to access the application hosted in central server. While the user at Directorate
level is not connected to the Central Application Server, they can access the local FMS
Server to work on the File movements without any interruption.
