3. Revision and evaluation of the development of the mobility
- First mobility: Comenius Coordinators in Spain IES Valle de Aller, from
8th to 11th November 2012:
The final conclusions and agreements of this meeting have been already
published in the blog of the KPUP Comenius project.
- Second mobility: Students and teacher in Turkey (SamandiraLisesi) from
18th to 22nd March 2013
6. Knowing the past to understand the present:
Intermediate Evaluation
As it was agreed in our first meeting, each partner school carried out the
mobility to Istambul with, at least 4 students and 2 teachers.
However, as it was also agreed in the first meeting, Romania increased the
number of students up to 9 due to the possibility of being lodged in a
Turkish family house. This, obviously, reduced expenses in every student
and it made possible to extend the number of them.
All the partners in this Comenius project adopted a historical, cultural and
social approach in presenting their countries, region and school. The
students have previously prepared speeches and presentations on
traditions, customs, national identity and specific national features.
Lithuania and Romania also came with a comparison between past and
present events in the history of the Turkish- Lithuanian and respectively
Turkish- Romanian relations.
Among the challenges faced by participating countries in their efforts to
implement policies related to the theme of the mobility we remark:
differences in religion (Turkey, a Muslim country, the
participants, mainly Christians)
differences in mentality (as regards: living standards,
marriage and divorce, women´s role, social integration)
different lifestyle
The main agreements as a consequence of the visit were:
1. Our integration in Europe and the European dimension of
education.
2. The importance of understanding, the past first and then dealing
with present issues.
3. Tolerance and different mentalities, national and personal identities.
4. Respect for another culture and history.
All the participating schools took part in the mobility with enthusiasm and
showed competence in their serious research in the field of their own
history and culture as well as in the history of the other countries
represented in the partnership, an indicator that historic relevance, cultural
heritage, and present solutions have been the core of their study.
Both students and teachers from all the countries enjoyed the company of
their partner schools. The program of the school activities and of the visits
were well organized, the meetings were interesting and useful. The fruits of

our cooperation are the joy of befriending new people and the new learned
things that will help us to see our own culture with critical eyes.
Other considerations:
The nine Romanian students accommodated in host families enjoyed the
Turkish homes and became good friends with the Turkish students and
teachers, feeling sorry to leave when the time came for departure.
- Third mobility: Students and teachers in Swede (Ross Tensta
Gymnasium) from 25th to 31st May 2013
As it was agreed in our first meeting, each partner school carried out the
mobility to Stockholm with, at least 4 students and 2 teachers. There was an
exception: the Turkish partner did not bring any student this time. Two
teachers, a Head of Department and the Headmaster formed the
representation of our associated school in Turkey. That was due of the fact
of the impossibility of students of travelling during this week because of
their final exams. Anyway, coordinator and teachers were present in the
intermediate evaluation of the project.
Because of this, the Turkish partner will increase the number of students
in next mobility to Romania.
All the partners in this Comenius project adopted a historical, cultural and
social approach in presenting their countries, region and school. The
students have previously prepared speeches and presentations on
traditions, customs, national identity and specific national features.
The main agreements as a consequence of the visit were:
1. Our integration in Europe and the European dimension of
education.

4. Respect for another culture and history

fruits of our cooperation are the joy of befriending new people and the new
learned things that will help us to see our own culture with critical eyes.
4. Fulfillment of agreements
Most of the agreements of our original project have been fulfilled, according to
the original project and the slight modifications we agreed in our first meeting
in IES Valle de Aller:
- To increase the number of students in the mobility in the case they could be
lodged in families, to reduce expenses in the student mobility.
- To work in in a general vision of each country History, but then, we focused
our attention in the History of the next country we are going to visit. In this
year: Turkey and Sweden.
- The teachers of each visiting countrygave us a guideline of the most
important things to learn about their History to be used with our students
participating in the project.
- At the same time, the students of every partner school also worked on a
specific topic about their History to present it in the guest country partner
school.
- The age of students varied according the characteristics of each associated
school: the average of age of the candidates varied between 15 to 17 years
old.
- It was given a certificate for all participants in the meeting according to the
meeting calendar.
5. Revision of the programmed activities for next year: 2013/2014
We checked together the activities programmed for next year and we all
assumed them. We agreed in the publication of a magazine about the KPUP
Comenius project. Each school will be responsible of writing 4/5 pages about
the project in their respective school, choosing the photos and the style of report
they want to transmit. IES Valle de Aller will be responsible to edit and publish
this magazine in June 2014, so the different articles must be written and sent wit
deadline May 2014.
We all agreed to increase the use of ITC I the project with the possibility
of videoconference among students and teachers.
With regards next mobility we have a separate chapter.

6. Agreement on dates for mobility 2013/2014
COLEGIUL NATIONAL RADU NEGRU: ROMANIA
From 7th to 13th October 2013
VILNIAUS RAJONO AVIZIENIU VIDURINE MOKYKLA:LITHUANIA
From 24th to 30th March
IES VALLE DE ALLER: SPAIN (Final Meeting)
From 2nd to 8th June
(It has been really difficult to agree the dates for mobility for next year, due to
the great differences among our school calendars. This is the most suitable possibility
for most of us. In the case of the final meeting, our Swedish partner will not be able to
take students, just teachers, because they are all involved in their National Exams.
Because of this, the Swedish partner will increase the number of students in Romania
and Lithuania mobility.)
7. Planning of the IV KPUP Comenius Meeting in Romania
The KPUP Comenius coordinator in Romania presented as some guidelines about next
mobility to COLEGIUL NATIONAL RADU NEGRU:
- Possibility of lodging in a mountain resort (Hostel) with cheaper prices and
less expenses.
- Turkish students will be lodged in host families, the same ones as in
Turkish visit.
- The rest of the associated countries were asked about the possibility of
increasing number of students in this mobility lodging students in
Romanian host families. We have to think about it in our respective schools.
- Every partner school will prepare shorts role-plays in English to be played
by students. Shorts dialogues based on topics about the relations among
Romanian people and people from the other associated countries, referring
to life standard, differences, similiarties….
