Have you ever spoken to a prospect at a meeting or over the phone
and everything seems to be going great but at the last possible
second they flake out on you? I’ve often wondered why you can
seemingly do every single thing right and still not close the sale.
2. Well to be honest sometimes it’s because the person really is just
indecisive. However, often it’s because even though your words are
saying all the right things you’re giving off a certain energy that is
turning people off of you and your business.
What am I talking about exactly? Well about 90% of what we tell
people is non-verbal that means that we are literally walking around
saying things that we don’t even mean to. If you’re talking to someone
about your home based business but you’re not really confident in it
it’s going to show through no matter how much you try to hide it.
Your lack of confidence is in the way you stand the way you look at
people and the way you move your hands. That’s why it’s so important
for you to feel confident in whatever home based business you
choose as well as feeling confident in yourself. When you are able to
make those two changes you’re going to see a huge difference in the
way people deal with you almost right away.
You can’t have the attitude that you’re wasting people’s time because
after all what could they possibly have to do that’s more important
than listening to something that can change their lives forever?
When you speak to a prospect in person stand up straight, shoulders
back and make sure you look them right in the eyes the entire time.
Also try not to fidget or do anything with your hands, that can make
you seem insecure.
If you’re talking to a prospect on the phone try putting a smile on your
face for the entire conversation. Even though they obviously can’t see
it they’ll be able to hear it in your voice and that will help you give off
more confidence. Also avoid nervous laughter and try to speak slowly
because people tend to speak faster when their nervous.
3. If you work on these things you’ll be giving off a much better energy
and it will help your business grow in more ways than you can
possibly know!
