talk about my approach to the classroom not my approach to teaching we need to provide the environment
backwash effect to go out into the real world.
I feel that the technology is robbing us of the educational processes It ’ s not about the technology if it is white and shiny and made by apple, I ’ ll buy it
comedy/tragedy
the bandwagon of technology it ’ s not what we can put in the classroom - it ’ s what we do in the classroom and what we put in it to support what we do
what happens when the tech squashes the educational process?
PDF ’ S are not e-learning
we need to ask ourselves
this is what Martin proposed
use technology as we would in the real world through a process of learning
in order to make an authentic learning experience, I need to make the classroom inauthentic.
we need to globalize our human resources there aren ’ t enough Japanese students who are being prepared for what theyare going to encounter once they graduate.
a lot of companies in Japan who require English but the key is company...
let ’ s look at this in detail
this is the focus - why?
if we focus here, we don ’ t move on
when you are researching information, where do you go? library
so we are focusing on the tech not the process the MEXT wants global resources
What do we want to do in the classroom and what technology do we need to make that happen?
this is to aid in their development
This is the most important
nothing
TED video provides the starting point this gives them some language. The quizzes are formative assessment
