Carlisle Group penned it’s vision statement more than a decade
ago, we understood that in order for our business to achieve the
success and longevity we desired, we had to be both responsive
to change and unwavering in our ethical and professional

Founded in 1996, TCG began as a manufacturing specialty firm
and by 1999, our client portfolio diversification plan was well
under way. Today, TCG’s footprint has expanded to serve more
than seven primary industry sectors, which gives our clients a
competitive advantage when relocating trailing spouses.
TCG recognizes the importance of embracing the Global

Qualifying Candidates:
• Conduct in-depth behavioral based
interview
• Confirm technical and cultural
compatibility
• Evaluate candidate’s accomplishments,
motivations and objectives
• Obtain candidate’s authorization for any
additional confirmations, i.e. background
checks, education verification… as
required by client
• Gauge the candidates interest by their
ability to support their decision to move
forward
• Brief client on progress of search

Bert Wendeln
Bert Wendeln is an equal shareholder of
The Carlisle Group, a privately held,
Global Executive Search & Recruitment
Firm, and serves as the firm’s President
and CEO.

Businessandhasbeenanactivemember
on the institution’s Business Board of
Directors since 1997. The first part of
Bert’s professional career was spent
with the Norwest Corporation (currently
Wells-Fargo) as a Senior Manager,
directing the activities of several multi-
million dollar business units. As part of
the fast-track, executive development
program, Bert was exposed to all facets
of the business and even enjoyed the
honor of being named “Employee of
the Year” in 1994.
The Carlisle Group was founded and
incorporated in February of 1996. Bert
was one of the first employees to join
TCG and quickly demonstrated a
unique ability to help clients solve their
most complex staffing needs. Within
a year, Bert and his co-partner, Shelly
Wendeln, successfully purchased the
business from the firm’s original owner.
Since July of 1997, Bert has directed
the activities of the organization
while continuing to build strong client
relationships which have generated
over $6 million in personal sales to date.
In addition, he has diversified the client
portfolio and spearheaded the firm’s
international efforts; to include contract
employees in India for competitive
internet research and analysis - as well
as managing International Searches/
Projects for our multinational
corporate clients.
Today, Bert’s efforts are concentrated
on the development of others. Whether
he is mentoring a junior team member,
consulting with a senior partner or
chairing a Board of Directors for a
multi-state executive search consortium,
Bert shares his leadership and expertise
to assist others in reaching their
potential.
