This document summarizes research assessing the impact of documenting public art in Douala, Cameroon on Wikipedia. Over three years, 281 pieces of content were created or updated on Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects, including 46 new articles on public artworks and artists in Douala. These articles saw increased views over time, with improved articles receiving over 4.9 million views total by 2021. Collaboration and editing of the articles was evaluated, finding articles on public artworks and artists received the most edits on average from editors. The quality of articles was also assessed, finding more articles were rated as higher quality in 2021 compared to 2018. In conclusion, documenting this public art on Wikipedia helped increase knowledge and visibility of African cultural heritage and demonstrated Wikipedia

CONCLUSION
• Wikipedia can be a powerful tool to increase knowledge and visibility of African cultural heritage.
• The assessment of the documentation of public art produced on Wikipedia shed light on its potentialities in:
- decolonizing cultural heritage
- widening the accessibility of local production
- fostering international collaboration
