Great Leaders Have a Strong Sense of
Purpose
 Successful leaders have a vision and a strong sense of purpose. A
clearly-defined purpose motivates them towards achieving it with
single-minded dedication.
 People who lack purpose can never make successful leaders.
Purpose fuels a passion that is necessary for achieving anything
worthwhile in the world. Absence of purpose makes an individual
just walk around completing the motions of life.
 Purpose and vision are the two important characteristics that can
help leaders gain competitive advantage for their organization. On
the other hand, organizations led by people who fail to comprehend
the dynamics of linkage between purpose and success are likely to
lag behind in the marketplace.
 Strong leaders have a purpose and a vision, and more importantly,
the ability to build the employees commitment towards this vision
and purpose.
 Just a cursory glance at few of the most successful organizations will
tell you that they all have one thing in common - shared values,
aligned vision, and a common purpose.
 These three important factors enable an organization to sail
smoothly over the tides generated by a chaotic business
environment and intense competitive rivalry.
 On the other hand, absence of these important characteristics puts
an organization on a fast track to mediocrity and ultimately consigns
them to the dustbin of history.

who understands and implements it is successful.
 Leaders who are driven purely driven by profit may enjoy short
time success. They will see the coffers of their organizations
overflowing for a short time, but eventually they realize that this
strategy is not appropriate for long-term growth and profit.
 Highly successful leaders, on the other hand, make a smooth
transition from profit to purpose. This allows them to take their
organization to all newer heights.
Great Leaders Have High Professional
Integrity
 It is not only your professional but personal life as well where trust
plays a very important part. Trust, in fact, plays an integral role in
all the relationships of your lives.
 Trust is the base on which all the relationships in the world stand.
No one in his or her sense can hope of creating a healthy and
productive environment in place where people do not trust each
other.
 A leader who fails to inspire trust in his abilities or his integrity has
as much chance of succeeding as an ice cube in hell. People will give
their best for you, only if they are assured that they are going to get
the best from you.
 They need the assurance that you are always going to place their
interest over your own. They want someone who can work for their
welfare and ensure that they have a better future.
 Leaders with high level of integrity and honor do what they say and
say what they do. In other words, they walk the talk.
