2. 1st Scene
• We see a middle aged man
watching TV, we can see his
back and the TV is the only light
in the room.
• We then see a clown walk in
from behind, the man in the sofa
can’t see him, the clown slowly
walks into the light of the TV and
closer to the man watching it.
• He gets ready to swing what
looks like a bat, just before he
hits the man on the sofa, we cut
into a new location.
3. 2nd
Scene
• The location now changes to a investigation
looking room, it has maps on the walls, pinned
places, peoples faces…
• There is a table at the center of the room, on the
table we see a variety o clown apparatus ( juggling
balls, jack in the box, red clown noses, balloons,
cards, confetti…)
• We see the clown come in he is dancing around to
the beat of the song, energetic and nervous
character. He is pointing around the walls of the
room looking through pictures. He plays around
with the jack in the box and as it pops up he gets
scared, he juggles the balls drops them, inflates a
balloon.
• As this is going on we see cut aways to a different
environment still keeps the colors of the killing
room but has velvet curtains. The same clown is
singing into a microphone (old looking), as we cut
back to the room and back again the clown is also
playing the piano or a set of homemade drums or a
saxophone. He is very driven by the music this is
shown buy his performance.
4. 3rd Scene
• Once the red room is established, there are
cutaways between the three scenarios, the
clown in the room with a very energetic and
psychotic behavior, the guy getting ready to
watch TV and the performance Velvet room.
• The man watching TV is opening a can of
coke, pouring it, opening a bag of chips and
turning on the TV. We see contrast between
both characters. The clowns actions are
fast paced while the man in the TV is slower
pace.
• Lastly we see 3 clowns in the room with the
velvet curtains performing and playing all 3
instruments, piano, drums and saxophone.
The are all driven baby the song and they
shown it in there performance.
5. Ending
• Finally we go back to the first
scene of the clown coming in
from behind ( circular
narrative), the TV man cannot
see him, and what looked like
a bat in the darkness is
revealed to a long ballon with
which the clown chokes the
guy out.
• We then see all the rooms in
the we have “been” in empty
as the song fades away.
7. The message behind this
• Why the killing? The idea is that the artist ( the clown), is
criticizing social media and TV as an entertainment form, as
they are eating up the old type of entertainment from circus,
to clowns, to jugglers…
