Scott Geller discusses self-motivation and identifies the 4Cs that empower self-motivation: 1) Competence - believing you can do something and it will work, 2) Consequences - whether something is worth doing based on what you'll get from it, 3) Choice - having a sense of autonomy to be inspired to complete tasks, and 4) Community - feeling motivated through social support and connection to others. Geller is an expert in self-motivation and behavior systems who has received lifetime achievement awards from organizations like the American Psychological Foundation.
