2. ANALYZE THE LEARNERS
• Special Education Kindergarten classroom (Between 4 and 5 years old)
• 12 students total
• 2 students with ADHD
• 1 students with down syndrome
• 2 students with autism
• 4 students with dyslexia
• 3 students with non-verbal learning disability(NVLD)
3. OBJECTIVE
• Students will draw and state the name of the shapes with the help of three shape
songs, a matching game, a riddle game, a finding game, and pictures by the end of
the week with 100% accuracy.
4. DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
• Monday: Introduce the shapes by showing a picture of each on the board and have
laminated pictures of each shape for the students to hold and look at
• Tuesday: Listen to each shape song once for the children to learn and tell
characteristics of the shapes
• Wednesday: Play several rounds of the matching game, where some children have
the name of the shape and some have the shape cutout and they have to stand next
to the shape that matches their word (with help of teacher)
5. DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
• Thursday: Play the riddle game, where teacher gives characteristics of a shape (3
sides) and the children guess what shape it is, also play finding game, where
students have to find objects in the room that are the same shape that the teacher
says
• Friday: Students will draw all of the shapes and each child will point at the shapes
they drew and tell what shape it is
