CHANGES TO SUBMITTING AN AWARD TO THE OMPF
A forthcoming NAVADMIN has changed the way awards are entered into a Sailor’s OMPF. Awards will only
be entered into the OMPF if they are reflected in NDAWS, awards not in NDAWS will be sent back to the
Command. In addition, if you have an award that is in NDAWS but not in your OMPF you may now submit
the award to Pers-313 for entry into your OMPF. If you have questions you may call the NPC Customer
Service Center at 1-866-827-5672 or via email CSCMAILBOX@NAVY.MIL.
CONSIDERING A RATING CONVERSION
MILPERSMAN Article 1440-010 details authorized changes in enlisted ratings. Sailors interested in
converting to another rating must work closely with their chain-of-command and their command career
counselor to ensure all requirements are met. Pers-81 processes all non-PTS and forced conversions.
Questions regarding rating conversion can be answered at mill_conversionsP811E@navy.mil or via phone
(901) 3193/3329/2499, due to the high volume only command representatives are authorized to contact
Pers-81.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work,
but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.”
~ Antoine de Sainte-Exupery
