Results from a 2006 PLACE study informed design of OVC
programs in Zimbabwe. A follow-up PLACE study (conducted
independently by our local partner in 2010) found reduced
attendance at high-risk sites and increased school attendance.
Outcomes from first LQAS survey in Kenya used to target
training of community health workers on maternal health issues
and water sanitation in districts with poorer indicators.
Nyamasheke district in Rwanda independently developed its
own strategic plan based on data gathered through the HIV
M&E system
