Mattingly "AI & Prompt Design: The Basics of Prompt Design"
QUESTION 6
1. QUESTION 6- WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT
ABOUT NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES FROM
THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?
2. When creating our opening sequence, we used
a HD camera to ensure that all of our shots
were clear. By keeping the shots looking clear
makes the final version of the film look good
which increases the professionalism. Just by
using the camera alone and no editing software
allowed us to zoom in and out of what we
wanted to show when in record mode. Also, it
allowed us to have things in focus and out of
focus in which we used a few times when
recording.
3. We used a steady cam, when filming shots
were the camera was moving, following
Megan down a corridor or up some stairs.
It ensured that the camera wasn’t too
shaky and we could focus on the action
taking place in the scene. Finally we used
a tripod. We used this in the walking
scenes, panning from one side of the street
to the other. Also, when filming high angles
and low angles, we used the tri-pod to
lower and increase the height of the
camera.

4. When editing our sequence together, we
used Adobe premiere. This is a quality
programme enabling us to edit and make
the scene look as professional as possible.
We also used Adobe After effects. This
programme allowed us to create special
effects, adding to the science fiction part of
the genre. We added special effects when
creating the laser eyes towards the end of
the opening scene we created.

5. ONLINE TECHNOLOGIES
WIX:
We used WIX to plan and document every step we
took into creating our opening sequence. As we had
never used WIX before we found it difficult setting up
and presenting our work. After practicing the controls
however, we can now find our way around the
programme very easily. It allowed us to show
everything we have done along the way through this
project. We documented our research we carried out
to think of ideas of what we was going to include in
the opening scene. We presented many things we
have done and it has been the best platform to do
so. Everything is in one place and linked together
making it very easy to showcase the work we have
done and our final draft of the opening sequence.
6. Survey Monkey:
When finding research for film and relating
it to our target audience, we created a
survey on survey monkey and emailed to a
variety of people around college. This
proved very helpful in our research as it
meant we could put in more features that
would attract the teen audience. We put all
our findings on the blog and used the
information from the results to make
decisions which helped us create our
opening sequence.
You tube:
We used you tube to upload the 3 videos
we had created. It was an easy to use
platform and allowed us to link it to our
blog very easily. The three videos we
uploaded to you tube was the photo shoot
we did for the DVD cover we created, our
preliminary task and our final draft of our
opening sequence.
