Production Process Evaluation
Research
• Looking at other existing brands and websites can give you creative ideas
for your own design.
• Having results come back from your own questionnaire can help adapt
your design to fit the needs of the public.
• Questionnaire details can be aimed at a certain age demographic and can
narrow results.
• I found it very useful being able to look at other brand website designs
and get ideas on how to create my own.
Planning
• Being able to design a mind map and generate ideas from there helped
me a lot.
• I found making a mood board was very helpful as it allowed me to start
with what base colours I will be using for all my designs.
• I didn't find the informal proposal planning helpful as I find it easier to see
my designs and work with the colours and visuals.
Time Management
• I was able to finish most projects on time. I feel that if I was given more
time I would of added information to my power points and added some
final details to my website design.
Target Audience Appeal
• I followed the results that I received from my questionnaire and adapted
the product to appeal to the audience. I made sure that my clothes
designs weren't bright colours and were dark colours, that the clothes
style were casual and not formal or too sporty. I also adapted the designs
that would be on the clothes to suit the audience by keeping the designs
as simple as possible.
Technical Qualities
Both website designs
advertise there
apparel with a model.
Along the top of the
design there are tabs
that allow easy
navigation through
the website.
This design advertises
there social links on
there homepage whilst
the other focuses on
the apparel
Here there is a tab that
scrolls through different
images to advertise
more on the homepage
Aesthetic Qualities
The photo
shop work for
this photo
was easy and
I was still able
to keep the
image looking
as real as
possible
I would change
the opacity of
the social media
logos as I feel
they are too
much the focus
of the website,
when the main
focus are the
clothes.
I like this image advertising
the ‘new designs’ as I feel the
gradient background fits well
with the clothes and text.
I feel the strength of this design was
the photo shop work as I feel
confident editing photos and editing
the website layout.
To make sure
that
everything on
the website
was in line
and equal, I
used the
ruler
guidelines
tool in photo
shop to align
every box a
image.
I added an
animation to my
middle image on
the website that
allowed it too
change from
image to image,
advertising
different apparel
Audience Appeal
I have appealed my content to my target
audience by following what they
requested in the questionnaire. I asked
about the apparels design and colours, if
text should be used in the designs, and
by following this the clothes will be more
appealing to the audience.
As the questionnaire showed that
plain colours like black and white
should be used for t-shirt designs, I
added my logo in black to this white
tee, and also added a black collar with
black stripes leading down the
sleeves. Trying to keep it as simple as
possible
Same as the t-shirt design,
I kept the design of these
socks simple using the logo
in black, with three black
stripes above it. I tried to
keep a theme of using
black and white as I feel
the colours work well with
each other.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The font you have chosen is very effective and
stands out to the audience.
– The images are presented and advertised well.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
- I would add a bit more to the layout, such as more
tabs along the top of the website.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the simplicity and how the layout is done in a
way that fits the target audience
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would put the social media links on another part
of the site around the other links at the top maybe
so that the user can easily find them at any point.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– Good contrast in colours
– Simple layout
– Its clear it’s a male target audience
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could have a zoom feature
– Feature a feedback section
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree with the feedback given, such as the
response of the layout and its simplicity. I also
agree with the feedback that I could of improved
my work by adding a zoom feature and a feedback
feature.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that the social media links should be
moved to a different tab or page
Peer Feedback Summary
I would add a couple of features to my work that were requested
during the feedback, such as a zoom feature, a feedback feature
and also some more detail to the layout of the website. By
improving the layout I could add these other little features and
also update the layout to be a little more complicated. The
feedback feature would allow the audience to show there own
experience with buying the apparel.

This design advertises there social links on there homepage whilst the other focuses on the apparel Here there is a tab that scrolls through different images to advertise more on the homepage
  • 8. Aesthetic Qualities The photo shop work for this photo was easy and I was still able to keep the image looking as real as possible I would change the opacity of the social media logos as I feel they are too much the focus of the website, when the main focus are the clothes. I like this image advertising the ‘new designs’ as I feel the gradient background fits well with the clothes and text. I feel the strength of this design was the photo shop work as I feel confident editing photos and editing the website layout. To make sure that everything on the website was in line and equal, I used the ruler guidelines tool in photo shop to align every box a image. I added an animation to my middle image on the website that allowed it too change from image to image, advertising different apparel
  • 9. Audience Appeal I have appealed my content to my target audience by following what they requested in the questionnaire. I asked about the apparels design and colours, if text should be used in the designs, and by following this the clothes will be more appealing to the audience. As the questionnaire showed that plain colours like black and white should be used for t-shirt designs, I added my logo in black to this white tee, and also added a black collar with black stripes leading down the sleeves. Trying to keep it as simple as possible Same as the t-shirt design, I kept the design of these socks simple using the logo in black, with three black stripes above it. I tried to keep a theme of using black and white as I feel the colours work well with each other.
  • 11. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? – The font you have chosen is very effective and stands out to the audience. – The images are presented and advertised well. • What improvements could have been made to the product? - I would add a bit more to the layout, such as more tabs along the top of the website.
  • 12. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? – I like the simplicity and how the layout is done in a way that fits the target audience • What improvements could have been made to the product? – I would put the social media links on another part of the site around the other links at the top maybe so that the user can easily find them at any point.
  • 13. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – Good contrast in colours – Simple layout – Its clear it’s a male target audience • What improvements could have been made to the product? – Could have a zoom feature – Feature a feedback section
  • 14. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? – I agree with the feedback given, such as the response of the layout and its simplicity. I also agree with the feedback that I could of improved my work by adding a zoom feature and a feedback feature. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? – I disagree that the social media links should be moved to a different tab or page
  • 15. Peer Feedback Summary I would add a couple of features to my work that were requested during the feedback, such as a zoom feature, a feedback feature and also some more detail to the layout of the website. By improving the layout I could add these other little features and also update the layout to be a little more complicated. The feedback feature would allow the audience to show there own experience with buying the apparel.
