There is a brief 40 second clip of a woman and man talking before the music beings,
this hints at the narrative and introduces the main characters. The first shot of when
the music begins is a close up of a female, the camera tracks her from the front as
she turns around. It then cuts to the back of her head in the same shot type, we then
see her enter a house. It cuts again to a close up of her face, we see her crying and
her make-up is ruined, it cuts to behind her and tracks her from a medium shot. It
then cuts to a medium close up of a male in a dark alley way, the lighting is low and
has a green tinge.

Close up shots are used throughout the video to denote the emotions of the
characters, and to show how different their lives are. A close up of a woman is
used, this shows her calm but sad emotions. We then see another close up of her
with her make-up smudged and mascara running down her face, this denotes she
has been crying. There is a close up of her hands on the steering wheel, showing
that she is driving. A close up of a different female is used, this shows her beauty
and that she is not the same woman from before. We see a close up of a man
hugging a woman, we see his face shot from behind the woman; it shows his blank
expression. We see a close up of them kissing in a dimly lit room.
Close Ups
4. This music video tells the story of a man that has been cheating om his wife, it is
their wedding day and he has left her alone to meet his other girlfriend. It begins
with the man leaving the woman in his car and she is alone, she walks around her
house and garden and appears calm. We then see her crying and taking off her
wedding ring; she has smashed up a lamp from her house. We then see the man
walking through a dark alley way, presumably into a pub or bar. We see the
woman driving and crying, she then enters a store and purchases wine and petrol.
It then cuts to the man and he is meeting up with a younger woman, they share
drinks and have a conversation in a bar. They then kiss and she leads him into a
small room or bathroom; we see them kiss and they begin to undress. It then cuts to
the woman burning clothes and possessions that are her husbands, she has stopped
crying. It then cuts back to the couple in the bathroom, by their gestures and facial
expressions we see that they are having sex. He then leaves and we see him walking
down the street towards his house. His wife greets him at the door and is smiling.
This story shows that although his wife is aware of what her husband is doing, she
is getting revenge but is also acting like nothing has happened.
Narrative
5.
The lighting used varies, the shots of the woman are light and bright. They tend to
be shot in daylight or shot when sun is shining through into the house; the medium
shot of her inside of her house denotes a light setting. Dim, slightly green light is
used as the male is walking through a small corridor or alley way, this is all
artificial light. A blue, dark lighting is used as the couple are in the bathroom; it
gives off a cold atmosphere and a sense of lust. A dimly light room but bright
colours are used as the shots of the artist are shown.

The ending shot shows the man leaving the bar and walking down a street, this is
shown in a long shot. It then shows him walking towards his house, the camera
tracks him from behind in a medium shot. We see the front door opening in a long
shot as the man is shown from behind in a medium close up; it then cuts to the
artist singing. It then cuts back to a woman standing in a doorway, she is shown in
a long shot as the camera tracks in with a shot of a man shown from behind is
shown. We then see the couple hugging and he kisses her neck in a medium close
up to a close up shot.
