2. Ah, Germany, the land of BMW, Dachshunds and other luxurious stuff. Germans are
well – known for creating precise machines, as seen in their brands like Porsche and
Mercedes – Benz.
You’ll be surprised to know that they also manufacture computers, particularly
gaming laptops. Schenker is a German company that assembles computers, much
like other boutique builders such as Origin, Falcon Northwest and Sager.
Of course, Schenker caters to a German crowd, but you’ll be surprised to see how
nice their machines are made. The XMG 502 PRO is a 15 inch gaming laptopthat
you’ll come to like, because it’s a well – built machine.
Design
As mentioned before, Schenker follows the tradition of other builders such as Origin.
This means that Schenker also makes use of Clevo laptops as their base bodies,
upgrading them with impressive hardware.
This XMG 502 PRO makes use of the P150EM chassis, a popular choice for its
understated yet stylish looks. The look of the laptop is simple. You won’t suspect that
this laptop contains the most powerful hardware ever.

3. To give you a sense of its size, the laptop weighs 7 pounds, and 1.7 inches thick
when the lid is closed. It’s considerably big, but it is more portable than 17 – inch
gaming laptops.
Display
This laptop sports a 15.6 – inch display with the choice of a glossy or matte coating.
Preferably, you should stick with a matte coating, as this reduces glare, allowing
you to work in open environments.
As befitting a gaming laptop, this machine has a full 1080p HD resolution, making
the interface very sleek and elegant. If you’re paying a lot of money, then you’re
going to get amazing features.
Hardware
Now let’s get to the meat of this laptop.
The XMG 502 comes with a third generation Intel Core i7 processor, nicknamed “Ivy
Bridge” processors. The most powerful processor the Schenker has is the i7 –

4. 3920XM, which is the Extreme Edition. It’s definitely fast and powerful. There are also
several other choices if you want to save cash.
For the graphics card, you get an NVIDIA GTX 660M, which is one of the best today.
If you have the money though, you can push it to NVIDIA’s newest and most
powerful GPU for laptops – the GTX 680M. It’s definitely worth the upgrade.
Stock RAM is set to 4 GB, but we recommend bumping it up to 8 GB for increased
performance. You can also increase it to 16 GB or 32 GB if you wish.
You also get two hard drives (or solid state drives) of varying brands and space. I
recommend that you choose solid state drives. While more expensive, it definitely
adds to the experience, because loading times are significantly shortened.
In terms of ports, you get plenty. There’s a 9 – in – 1 card reader, a DisplayPort, an
HDMI, a DVI, three USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port. There are others there too,
but these are the most important and most likely to be used.

5. Conclusion
Germany can certainly hold its own when it comes to creating amazing machines
geared towards performance.
Well, if you sell your laptop for XMG 502 PRO, you can expect frame rates to be
through the roof, simply because it’s jammed with the most extreme parts you can
find today.
