Slow Food is a global grassroots movement that connects the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment. It seeks to create lasting change in the food system by reconnecting people with sustainable food production and inspiring transformation of food policies. Slow Food USA envisions a world where all people can access food that is good for them, for the farmers, and for the planet.
4. Slow Food USA seeks to create dramatic and lasting change in the food system. We reconnect Americans with the people, traditions, plants, animals, fertile soils and waters that produce our food. We seek to inspire a transformation in food policy, production practices and market forces so that they ensure equity, sustainability and pleasure in the food we eat. Slow Food Mission

From Plate to Planet In the United States, members of Slow Food USA's 200 chapters celebrate the amazing bounty of food that is available and work to strengthen the connection between the food on our plates and the health of our planet. Our members are involved in activities such as:
10. Slow Food on Campus Slow Food on Campus is a network of Slow Food chapters at colleges and universities across the country. Run by student members, Slow Food on Campus chapters engage their community and the next generation of Slow Food leaders in creating a good, clean, and fair food system.
11. Campaigns Converged Next semester we will offer a converged section of the Advertising Campaigns and Public Relations Campaigns. Our client will be Slow Food USA/Campus Convivia. We will work with our client to develop an integrated social marketing campaign for its Slow Food on Campus initiative. Slow Food on Campus is a network of Campus Convivia, chapters of Slow Food USA run by college and university students across the country. These Campus Convivia are the living, breathing, working arm of Slow Food USA in the college community. By promoting food and food justice issues and by engaging their fellow students in the pleasures of the table and the garden, Campus Convivia aim to promote a slower, more just, and more harmonious rhythm of life on our nation's college campuses.
12. Local and Organic Food on Campus How to get more local, organic, seasonal and sustainable food into dining halls on university campuses across the country seems to be an ongoing topic of discussion as the school year gets underway. Some universities are making progress and shifting the traditional way of acquiring food to feed masses of hungry students who show up in the dining hall three times a day–at least–looking for something to eat. Others, however, are still struggling to make the transition in the dining halls to good, clean and healthy food.
13. Campaigns Converged The campaign will blend both traditional and non-traditional media, but will rely heavily on the creative use of social media, viral marketing, and digital storytelling . Professional mentors and advisers will be involved to assist in the development of more than just a plans book; we will develop and implement strategy and execute tactics in an effort to meet campaign objectives and out client’s goals.
