Keep it Loose!

When you feel inadequate in
your sketching, pause and
reconsider your perspective.
Don’t worry how well you draw.
Instead, think of your sketching
as visual thinking, which works
regardless of your drawing
quality. Ugly gets the job done
just fine.

4. 6-8-5
6-8-5 is designed to generate lots of
Universal Mind™
ideas in a short period of time. The
activity can then be repeated to
hone & flesh out a few of the best
ideas.
5 minutes to play each round
15-20 minutes for discussion
Before the meeting, prepare several
sheets of paper with a 2×2 or 2×3
grid. You want to create boxes big
enough for players to sketch their
ideas in, but small enough to
constrain them to one idea per box.
Prepare enough paper for everyone
to have about 10 boxes per round.
Tell the players to sit silently and
sketch out as many ideas as they can
until the timer ends — with the goal
of reaching 6-8 ideas. The sketches
can and should be very rough
— nothing polished in this stage.

Robert the Interested User

1. Robert sits on the couch and starts up the app,
to show his friends 2. He sees the app already knows he has an apple
TV and the AirPlay icon shows up on the app 3. After selecting the Apple TV to broadcast to he
sees the music player on the TV and it starts
playing music and content starts animating in.
4. He notices that he’s still has the main
experience on the iPad so he starts swiping
through content as the music player continues
5. He pinches and zooms into a video, he sees
that the audio fades out and the video is
playing full screen on his TV.
6. The video ends and the music player fades
back in and continues to play as he continues
exploring content
to play on his TV

9. New Sub-Contractor

1. He then shows the animation to the
subcontractor, John. 2. Telling him this is how he expects the windows
to be installed. 3. After viewing the animation, John informs Bob
that he is not used to installing windows
that way.
4. Bob easily pulls up a list of authorized retailers
by selecting the product with in the animation. 5. He then simply touches the nearest store and
his phone begins dialing. 6. Telling him this is how he expects the windows
to be installed.
