A member of the class of 2015 at Duke University, Mert Arkan is now a law student at Georgetown Law School. Arkan has supplemented his studies with a variety of internships and work experience, as well as acting as the Publicity Chair of Duke’s Muslim Students Association. Most recently, he served an internship with the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the British Parliament, where he worked under Simon Hughes, the Member of Parliament of North Southwark and Bermondsey. Mert Arkan also spent a summer interning at the Cologne, Germany, branch of Ziraat Bank, the largest private Turkish bank.
