4. General
Dentistry
At Metroplex Implants & Family Dentistry, we have the skills and experience to help all of our patients – both young
and old – to feel at ease. When it comes to general dental procedures, people typically think of cleanings, fillings, and
dental X-rays. We offer all of those, and more. At our practice we place a great deal of emphasis on preventive dental
care, because when it comes to your health, an ounce of prevention is always worth much more than a pound of cure.
We offer many general dental procedures, including the following:
• Sealants
• Tooth-colored fillings
• Digital X-rays
• Root canal treatments
• Crowns and bridges
• Veneers and laminates
• Inlays and onlays
• Dental implant placements
• Gum therapy (periodontal therapy)
• TMJ treatments
• Oral cancer diagnosis
5. Teeth Whitening
Over time our teeth can become yellowed or discolored. Cigarette smoking, beverages like coffee or wine,
and various foods take their toll, and can leave you with dull or even stained teeth. Many at-home teeth
whitening products promise to restore your teeth, but rarely do they deliver the desired results. We offer
professional whitener treatments that can give you a sparkling smile.
6. Dental Bonding
Bonding employs a semi-permanent filling for your teeth that will repair chips or breaks, and also
cover exposed roots and cavities. Once bonded, the tooth will instantly look flawless or very close to
it, and the bonding material will last for years. The procedure is relatively quick, and typically can be
completed in a single visit.
7. Dental Veneers
Veneers are thin shells made from plastic or porcelain that perfectly fit over an existing tooth.
We take an impression of your upper and lower teeth, and then use that to create a custom
set of veneers. If you have broken or chipped teeth, spaces between your teeth, or teeth that
are permanently discolored, veneers can transform your smile.
Veneers last much longer than dental bonding, and are less expensive than dental
crowns. Porcelain veneers need to be made in a dental lab, and will require at least
two visits to complete.
