live by them and teach them?

things.

3. Why Is the Word of God
Relevant for Us?
•Because it is true and proven!
•They’re in perfect harmony…
•even though there are 40 writers
and spans 1500 years of history
•It talks of facts man did not
understand until many years later.

curriculum for every good work.

•To guide us: It has all things that
pertain to life… through the
knowledge God has revealed to
us. 2 Peter 1:3
•Tell us how to make a good life…

5. They Give Wisdom!

•It begins with the fear of the Lord.

6. They Give Spiritual
Strength!
•They contain God’s thoughts and

•The Scriptures save us when

•The Word of God reproves, rebukes

•They help us grow as we should.

•It imparts to us a fullness of faith…

7. Conclusion:
•As we have seen, the Scriptures are very
relevant for us today. 2 Peter 1:3
•They contain untold knowledge and
understanding that awaits our learning.
•Through the Scriptures God has given us,
…all things that pertain to life and godliness.
•We’ve also seen that we’re required to
constantly live by and teach them so we
may experience the promise of a good life
now and eternally. 1 Timothy 4:8
