2. The Can Do Attitude!
Philippians 4:13
• The apostle Paul demonstrated this
enthusiastic “can do” attitude!
• Let us pursue an understanding about
zealous work for the Lord!
• How can we be zealous?
• What will help us mature and be
enthusiastic for Christ?

3. Good Zeal is Important!
• Zeal means an intense enthusiasm for
something. Gal. 4:18; Heb. 6:5; Eccl. 9:10
• Zeal can be toward right things!
– Good works…Titus 2:14
– Stirring… 2 Cor. 9:2
• Zeal can also be toward wrong things…
– Without the proper knowledge… Rom. 10:1-3
– Boastful… Phil. 3:4, 6; Acts 26:9; Gal.1:13-14
• Sinful… Proverbs 6:18

4. Desire To Do God’s Will!
John 7:17; 8:31-32
• It will help us want and do the right things
that will lead us to heaven. Mt. 7:21-23
• If we focus on following Christ we know
that our zeal will be towards pleasing God.
Romans 8:29, 31, 1-2, 14
• We will be dedicated to sharing the gospel
with the lost. 1 Tim. 2:3-4; Rom. 1:14-15

5. Have Spiritual Zeal!
Forsaking the carnal lifestyle! 1 Cor. 3:1-4
• We can have this when… Titus 2:11-14
– We let God’s word teach us! Mt. 28:20
– We deny ungodliness and worldly lusts.
*It’s a choice--make it! Hebrews 11:25-26
– We live soberly, righteously and godly in
this present age! 1 Tim. 4:7
– We constantly look to Jesus’ return
preparing for the judgment! Heb. 10:24-25
– We live transformed pure lives. Rom. 12:2
– We are zealous for good works! Eph. 2:10

6. Pursue Righteous Zeal!
• If we choose to have this mature continuing
zeal for Christ we will be following in the
good steps of the faithful! Phil. 4:9
• Come to Jesus now before it’s too late!
Hebrews 9:27; James 4:14; Amos 4:12
• You can be saved when you:
– Hear & Believe the gospel… Rom. 1:16-17
– Repent of your sinful life… Acts 2:38
– Confess Jesus as God’s Son… Acts 8:37
– Are baptized for forgiveness of sins... Acts 2:38
