4. USIIF – The Official Liaison Between the Indian Investment
Community and the US companies seeking foreign capital.
The U.S.-India Investors' Forum (USIIF) has recently been formed
with the support of the US Commercial Service in order to connect
Indian investors with FDI opportunities in the US.
It was inaugurated by the Former Secretary of Commerce
John Bryson
5. USIIF will work closely with the US Commercial Services and Us
Consulate on the Select USA program initiated by the Obama
Administration.
President Obama is expanding SelectUSA, a Commerce
Department program designed to attract more foreign investment.
It is "the first-ever, fully coordinated U.S. government effort to
recruit businesses to invest and create new jobs in the United
States," Obama said.
One goal is national coordination of efforts that have been left
largely to states and cities.

7. USIIF was part of the Indian delegation which attended the Select USA
Summit in Washington DC which was addressed by the President Obama,
VP , US Secretary of Commerce amongst other dignitaries.

9. The USIIF is a completely non-profit entity. It’s Advisory Board
Members are involved on a fully probono basis.
The USIIF’s primary focus will be to introduce US and Indian
Institutions to new business opportunities with each other.
To act as a liaison between the Indian investment community and
the US Government for addressing investor concerns.
It's Advisory Board is comprised of eminent personalities from
some of India’s top financial institutions.
