South East Asia is an attractive region for gaming companies due to its large gaming population estimated to exceed $5 billion in revenue by 2016. The region has over 100 million gamers across diverse countries with different cultures and languages. Game development in South East Asia is lower cost compared to Western countries, with some projects up to 1/8th the cost. This makes the region appealing for outsourcing work. South Korea in particular has very fast internet that helps drive high gaming spending per capita and mobile/web game development is emphasized across South East Asia due to quick turnarounds.

development because of their quick turnaround
• The lower cost of development to projects are one of
the main attractions of South East Asia. Some projects
are up to 1/8th the cost of western development
projects. This is one of the main reasons why a lot of
work is outsourced there.
