Our Fellows
The Honor Foundation admits only the most qualified and focused military talent into our program. Our
admitted Fellows together represent diverse backgrounds, formal education & skill sets, interests, life
experience and varied expertise. While in our classrooms they continue to learn from not only one another,
but also prestigious faculty and in house executives. Everyone is constantly gaining new experience from
each other. Fellows admitted into our program are motivated to discover the answer to two very important
questions, how can I add value to a new organization and when can I start?
THF Fellows are ready to lead and ready to follow at any level, bringing unique and relevant skills to your
business, no matter the industry. The SOF community holds themselves to the highest standard of discipline,
character and integrity. Our Fellows can’t be found anywhere else in the world. The value of their career
training and professionalism can not be measured by any ordinary standards.
Members of the Special Operations Forces community have been shaping the business world around them
for decades. Now, our Fellows wish to make a difference in your organization. By recruiting with The Honor

Our graduates see the big picture.
The United States Government has invested billions to discover them, train them, and formally educate this
community. These individuals were selected for this military community for their ability to think outside the
box and entrepreneurial spirit. Over their career they were equipped with executive skills to manage a global
organization -- a career constant being professional development and technical training.
The Honor Foundation, being the next phase in their career pipeline, prepares and pushes these individuals
even further. With the help of our Employer Partner’s, top business schools, elite faculty, CEO’s, senior hiring
executives, leading entrepreneurs, and the best in executive education, our graduates will be the most focused
military professionals entering the workforce.
Once they graduate and become a program Fellow, they’ve arrived at The Honor Point.
Once arriving at this point, they will be expected to take the tools we’ve provided them, work with us and
explore our professional network, and create a new strategic way forward.

Long Term Partnerships
The Honor Foundation is no different than a top tier business school looking to place their grads into the
right careers, for them and your business. We are looking to build long­-term Partnerships with organizations
so that we may constantly understand your needs, and build a strategy around your resources, so you can
achieve the perfect hires for the available positions. THF is operating under a 501(c)(3) status. We provide
a unique transition program to a laser focused niche market, the Special Operations Forces community.
Our program process specializes in executive education, career coaching and professional development. We
prepare our Fellows for a new career transition, plain and simple.
Hiring the right veterans can be a challenge for any organization. Our team has built a system and process for
your organization to understand the different skill sets of our Fellows. Your organization has a distinct culture
and we hope to work with you in order to find you a good match. We wish to understand your business and
where our Fellows can add value. As a result of our process, our Fellows experience tremendous growth
and self­-awareness surrounding their next career choice. If we say they are interested in your company we

No Employer Partner is too big or too small to recruit from The Honor Foundation. Members of the
Special Operations Forces community have been found creating success within government and non­profit
organizations, Fortune 500 and small to medium businesses alike. The size of your business doesn’t matter,
however the integrity of your business does matter. Our Fellows have integrity. They will only add sound
leadership and character to your organization.
The vision for THF, to become the bridge for Special Operations Forces and private sector careers, and
aligns with the greater mission of The Rady School and Tidewater Community College: Challenge. Innovate.
Transform. Through this partnership we know that together we can create productive, results oriented, long­
term Partnerships with both our Employer Partnership’s and The Honor Foundation Fellows.

The Honor Foundation Employer Partner Advantages
Success in recruiting with The Honor Foundation is linked to a number of factors, including your organization’s
brand visibility throughout our classrooms, events, website and social media campaigns. What’s most important
to THF is your organization’s hiring history with veterans and the quality of interaction your organization
wishes to have with our Fellows as they transition. We have outlined below several recommendations that we
hope will inform you on our recruiting strategy. As always, we are here to fill the needs of your organization
by matching them with our qualified graduates. We are always available to customize and add to the following
suggestions for our Employer Partner’s.
Mentorship
The Honor Foundation has interacted with hundreds of individuals from the SOF community. Once your
company becomes an Employer Partnership we will pair each Fellow with a member of your team for a one­-
on-­one advocacy opportunity. Prescribing a senior executive to work alongside our Fellows is a high priority
for The Honor Foundation. Members of the Special Operations Community are not just elite military in
transition, they’re executives in training. The Mentorship Program allows for lasting Partnerships to take place
while our candidates are in an active state of transition,­one professional to another. While the The Honor
Foundation continues to focus on long term growth, we are partnering with platforms such as Salesforce and
MentorMint, in order to build a massive database of up to 65,000 SOF members by 2020, and to pair over
800 Fellows with numerous mentors by 2018.

As an Employer Partnership, strengthen your presence with our Fellows by joining us in the classroom! Our
program is strongly rooted in executive education not only to educate and equip our Fellows for their next
career but also to provide a learning opportunity to our Employer Partners. Sending a representative from
your organization to THF will allow our Fellows the opportunity to connect with you outside of your office
and inside an open learning environment allowing for your organization to learn from our participants and vice
versa.
Become Faculty of The Honor Foundation
The Honor Foundation encourages our Employer Partner’s to present their industry expertise to our Fellows.
We continue to recruit thought leaders, industry experts, and top entrepreneurs in order to constantly
innovate our curriculum for our Fellows. Our current faculty works within leading business schools, Fortune
companies, CEOs of small to medium businesses and run national service organizations. These folks all bring
real-world knowledge into our classrooms so that our Fellows receive market, ready ­to ­apply information.

Leadership, Operations, Management ­­Our Fellows know Business
The United States Government has spent billions of dollars to provide the Special Operations community with
the best training that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. Our Fellows throughout their career have
partaken in leadership development courses, management courses, and technical training. Even the extent of
their formal education is unknown to most employers. Once an Employer Partner, our Fellows will deliver a
presentation to your organization outlining the technical experience and training that are very common among
members of the Special Operations community.
Coffee Convo
The Honor Foundation is not promoting caffeine (although we sure use it a lot) what we are promoting are
casual conversations to take place between our Fellows and a representative from your organization. We
want our Fellows to gain as much insight into potential careers and companies as possible. These one­-on-­one
meetings are informal and can be arranged at any local venue. For venue recommendations please contact us.

On Site Interviews
The Honor Foundation allows for Employer Partner’s to utilize our unique space within The Rady School of
Management and Tidewater Community College to interview any one of our Fellows. We understand that not
all organizations understand their hiring needs during our scheduled programs and that additional hiring needs
may surface on a moments notice. No matter what your situation, The Honor Foundation is here to make the
connection between your organization and our Fellows as easy as possible. The
Hosting a Job Fair? Let us Know!
If our Employer Partners are hosting a job fair please contact us! It is our duty to connect our Fellows with
as many employment related opportunities as possible. If you are hosting an event and wish for our Fellows
to attend, Employer Partner’s must send us detailed information regarding the event schedule a month in
advance. Event announcements that are not submitted within a months time may delay our press release to
our current Fellows and recent Alumni Fellows.

Informational Interview (Virtual or Not) with THF
Our Employer Partner’s are encouraged to remain connected with each new class that enters into our
program. By connecting with THF and arranging an informational interview our Employer Partners will have
the opportunity to speak with a perspective hire or just to interact with our Fellows. Having a first look at our
candidates by way of informational interviews is a very effective way to recruit our Fellows and experience our
unique transition program.
Video Conference
Our state of the art facilities within the Rady School of Management and Tidewater Community College will
allow real time conversations to take place with our Fellows, faculty, & Employer Partner representatives from
anywhere in the world. We have had Employer Partner’s conference into our courses from their offices/homes
in order to participate in our executive education courses taking place at The Honor Foundation. This is a great
way to interact with our program ­­no matter where you are in the world!
NEXT Speaker Series
The NEXT Speaker Series draws our country’s thought leaders and change makers to one platform. This
unique TED-like talk series invites four driving forces of innovation to the stage at UCSD Rady School
of Management and Tidewater Community College. The Honor Foundation invites elite military, industry
experts, social entrepreneurs, and top tier educators to speak and create a dialogue around the new military
professionalism that surrounds us today. This event acts as a powerful way for you and your business to
become publicly recognized for your efforts to support our organization and our veterans on a national stage.

Corporations and foundations who provide annual financial support of $5,000 or more directly to The Honor
Foundation will be recognized by THF as an official Employer Partner. This will entitle your organization to a
majority of benefits in recruiting with our Fellows.
The Honor Foundation Employer Partner Program offers several levels of opportunity for your organization.
These Employer Partnership levels exist to continue the tradition of placing America’s elite military talent
within America’s finest organizations. Employer Partner can range from Fortune 500 to small and medium
businesses or not-for-­profit organizations.
Based on your chosen level of Employer Partnership your company will gain unprecedented access and
exposure to our Fellows and program. We value and trust our Partnerships with our Employer Partners
tremendously. This partnership instantly connects your organization to the talents, expertise and experience
belonging to the Special Operations Forces communities.
Our Employer Partner and foundations provide numerous resources which support our program innovation
and enhance the overall transition experience of our elite military Fellows. Our Employer Partner to date
assist mainly with financial needs, advising on best business practices, corporate matching programs to provide
donations, technology and equipment to our Fellows, and key introductions to business executives across the
world. ­­Our network grows constantly.

Our Employer Partner will receive weekly updates regarding our active Fellows in search of new opportunities.
Employer Partners also receive the highest visibility at all THF courses and foundation related events.
In addition, The Honor Foundation will include a special update each month to all Employer Partners
regarding VIP visits from some of our country’s foremost thought leaders and change makers. We send out
company profiles monthly to all our Fellows and Fellows (alumni) of our program. Our Employer Partners
are represented on all signage, website content, Fellow materials, weekly email updates and have a strong
presence at all large THF events held at The UCSD Rady School of Management, Tidewater Community
College and other top business school partners.
Vice President, Chief of People Operations
Philip Dana
Former US Navy Enlisted and Officer, Dana comes to The Honor
Foundation team with a legacy of founding and building some of the
most prolific corporate military hiring programs in the country. At Sears
Holdings, Dana was a Diversity Talent Leader, supporting more than 32
business units and over 300,000 employees. Later, as a manager of
Talent Acquisition at Amazon, he founded the military talent program
now called Amazon Warriors. Dana has also led global talent acquisition
efforts, including military hiring emphasis, at Life Technologies (Thermo Fisher), NuVasive and Intuit. He can

Once they graduate and become a program Fellow, they’ve arrived at The Honor Point. Mentorship The Honor Foundation has interacted with hundreds of individuals from the SOF community. Once your company becomes an Employer Partnership we will pair each Fellow with a member of your team for a one­- on-­one advocacy opportunity. Prescribing a senior executive to work alongside our Fellows is a high priority for The Honor Foundation. Members of the Special Operations Community are not just elite military in transition, they’re executives in training. The Mentorship Program allows for lasting Partnerships to take place while our candidates are in an active state of transition,­one professional to another. While the The Honor Foundation continues to focus on long term growth, we are partnering with platforms such as Salesforce and MentorMint, in order to build a massive database of up to 65,000 SOF members by 2020, and to pair over 800 Fellows with numerous mentors by 2018.
