Ferslev School in Aalborg, Denmark is working on a Global Citizen project to help students develop global awareness and responsibility. The school has 360 students from ages 6 to 16. As part of the project, students learn about other cultures and do joint activities with two other local schools. The goal is for students to see themselves as citizens in both their national and global communities and understand how their actions have wider consequences. Key aspects of being a global citizen that are taught include skills like creativity, openness, responsibility and helpfulness.
